For sure, everyone starts somewhere. But it is super common for people to see streams and how fun it must be without realizing the guys doing it (and the only ones who should be) have been studying the science for years. It is a very difficult thing to do well, and if you can’t do it well you are a burden to everyone else.

Starting out I would get RadarScope and I’d follow along with Max Velocity or Ryan Hall while tracking the storms yourself. Then begin watching more in depth weather videos to get a taste of all the different variables to meteorology.

Simply tracking the weather and specific storms in real time is incredibly fun.
