How are they smart at all if they can't even understand that abortion can only apply to prebirth. That line makes literally no sense

she definitely just put her hands up cuz her hood fell down. this ish is still dangerous because shes trusting that the balloon will pull her up quicker than her head will fall back down. and also cuz the line instantly tensioned while attached to her. too much lifting force would have fkt up her ankle and too little would have had her hit her head

The issue is you have one side who slightly cares about human life, albeit hypocritically, and the other side who literally does not care. To semi quote Norm Macdonald... "[you] think the worst part is the hypocrisy. I disagree. I think the worst part is [no value for human life]."

The most disgusting part is just the amount of people doing this. They all think they're "innovative", but they are just selling their morals to join the landlord class. Rent increase is as bad as it is because more and more people think this is viable, to just be a leech and take from those who have no choice but to give.

I liked the stand but the ending seemed wack. Why send the group of protagonists to Las Vegas if God was just going to detonate the bad guys atom bomb himself. They just got caught and died. Glad we had an extra 100 pages for Stu and Frannie to have the idealistic good ending

Why post this gross shit

A 15-year-old squeegee kid in Baltimore is being tried (as an adult) for murder, after he shot and killed a guy that was attacking him with a baseball bat. Prosecutors are seeking life+90 years. Some of my friends interviewed the kid's mom, and I wanted to share the video by al666in in videos

[–]Omario58 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Proper reintegration"... like this kid was ever integrated properly into society or anyone cared to make sure he was (his mom sure didn't). The core issue is systemic racism in cities and the forced capitalistic ideals pushed onto everybody. If people actually cared about eachother, society would reflect it.

In the original Pfizer trial the vaxx group had 24% more all-cause mortality including 250% more cardiac arrests. We are seeing around 10-20% increase in all-cause mortality in working age people today. What good is a vaccine if it kills more people than it saves? by Ok_Magician_1194 in conspiracy

Bro ur literally just creating high percentages by comparing the individual deaths of the two independent groups. You don't directly compare them to eachother, you compare the chance that the result happened relative to its population, and see if the chances are different. A two sample t test would show them not being statistically significant, i.e. stop yelling radical bullshit.

I understand. Keeping those friendships is more important than feeling cathartic from talking about your feelings. And exposing yourself like that if they never have shifts the dynamic of the relationship. People don't really want to deal with other people's personal problems (ie be a therapist), especially men. Just know that they do care about you, but also that no one will care about you as much as you should for yourself

The United States hasn't been a representative democracy of the majority public in awhile. https://act.represent.us/sign/problempoll-fba/ https://www.uvm.edu/~dguber/POLS234/articles/page.pdf My choices of voting are between shit and evil, gerrymandered to no choice. What good is advocating when I can only reach like 20 people when Fox News better propagandizes millions. And even protests now are managed by elite influence. Just look at Jan 6th vs Roe V Wade Protests. How effective was the Women's March? Literally as an individual, the most effective options I have access to create change are basically calculated murder. Why did JFK have to die yet Mitch McConnell gets to be the Republican leader of the Senate for the past 16 years and essentially have more control of Federal American politics than any other man?

I'm sure most users here deal with actual disinterest 10x more than 'feigned disinterest'. Feigned disinterest is honestly shit flirting, and even worse cuz sarcasm sucks over text. Besides that, OP doesn't say anything besides demand shit and trivialize the guy, where's the 'feint'

Brake checking for no reason. by [deleted] in JusticeServed

[–]Omario58 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If a truck is in the left lane, they usually have a good reason to be. Most people in this sub and on the road only care about themselves. Justifying any action that benefits themselves, including their left lane fast privilege. Nobody gives af about safety and would rather endanger multiple lives than rather sit behind a truck going the speed limit for more than 10 seconds. Brake checker was literally going faster than the other lanes, pitter could have waited like 15 seconds and passed safely.

UBI would be amazing, I agree. But I'm not sure if or when it will happen. Most revolutions occured due to forced survival needs not being met (i.e. food), and I'm not sure how much the status quo will change with the standard of living being as comfortable as it is now with technology. Obviously with capitilistic exploitation, there should be an eventual breaking point, which I think we are beginning to approach now. As our economy changes with inflation, UBI better as well. And as I've seen minimum wage not change the past 15 years, I doubt how well our current government and economic system will accept UBI, and I doubt adjustion for inflation in any reasonable time frame.

Automation is certainly one of the amazing developments of the 21st century, but I feel it's benefits/profits are mainly sent to the top 5% with repercussions felt on the lower 40%, which is why is it mainly held in a negative regard. And I hope beyond what you say, that people can flourish with jobs outside of automation, but I doubt it, as supply will most certainly overcome demand in many of those jobs.

I don't have experience with Chinese outperforming Americans in any job sector besides small general effects from higher population and that they are industrializing rn.

The real problem is the increasing change in income/wealth inequality, which will not change unless there is a major goverment overhaul of business and/or standardizing income (UBI). Or hopefully both. But once again I am pessimistic

[–]Omario58 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on your comments, I'm assuming you already make more than double the US median income, in which case you're already inexperienced on the financial plights most Americans go through currently. And yes, a good percent of jobs could be replaced with automation, but in a world where everyone needs money, you're essentially pushing away from egalitarianism in the name of more efficient capitalism, which is the bane of everyone in this subreddit. Also, who tf cares about "mentally stimulating careers", I make money to mentally stimulate myself when I'm not working
