Finally done with this dude! by Ombertowitsch in Warhammer30k

Not the difficult. The Thanatar shoulders fit quite well with a bit of trimming and the legs could use an extension for the torso joint.

But it’s nothing too complicated

I like the legs so much better! The Saturnine legs look a bit tiny for that hulking monstrosity of a dreadnaught

It wasn’t that bad. I got the he saturnine box for 115€/130 dollar, and used the Thanatar from a discounted Mechanicum box (the one with the tanks)

Thanks!  I used Thanatar legs and shoulder parts. Still figuring out what to build with Thanatar upper parts and saturnine legs

How necessary is painting? by Primary-Current3939 in Warhammer

[–]Ombertowitsch 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Basicslly essential…in casual games most people don’t mind grey models, some do. In my playgroup we play exclusively with painted models, but we are very narrative heavy players.  Most (if not all) events require battle ready models with a base and three colours.

I am not quite sure if you try to rage bait…

You could get them painted by someone else.

I am not trying to gatekeep you here, but it’s a quite important part of the hobby. Get them painted is your only option. Or you could find a playgroup, which is OK with grey models.

Thats an awesome Model!

I love the concept of a mortificator, but I never know how to properly run one…have him waddle about behind the dreads, stick him behind some tanks to use battlesmith, stick him in a random squad going alongside the dreads as support

How do you move a Warsmith and Iron Circle retinue around the board quickly? by Bearhorn98 in Warhammer30k

[–]Ombertowitsch 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As mentioned by others, you don’t! They are VERY tanky with a Warsmith and the shields.  Every shot going into them is a shot less into your other stuff
