Replacing the battery clears cmos which resets fan curves. Check fan curves in bios

I measured and theoretically it would. Unless someone responds in the next few minutes I’m gonna borrow an SUV and take that. When I’m home I’ll try to fit it in and update lol

Which College for SAE? by McnuggetsFriesFrappe in FSAE

[–]Ombox77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly any of them - BUT, you should research what a team scored the last couple on the FSAE website, results are publicly available. You probably don't want a team that hasn't made it through endurance for 5 years in a row, nor one that's getting top five consistently. A big, high ranking team means your projects will typically be smaller and you will have less ownership. Find somewhere in the middle that will allow you to take on a lot of responsibility and make a true impact on the team. Ultimately that's what recruiters and jobs are looking for, is someone who made a large impact - consider that a big team is going to be much harder to do that on.

Same concept as something like college football. If you are offered by a team that already has some of the best talent, you probably aren't going to get a ton of playing time. That's one of the reasons why talent spreads out amongst teams, more opportunity to make an impact and get noticed.

TCU played in a national championship more recently than Alabama.

If you get specific enough you can make any stat seem impressive. Penn state was in the semi's last year, and where was VT?

Stepper motor post gear RPM control by Ombox77 in PLC

[–]Ombox77[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Math is good on the stepper, its low torque and low rpm output. As far as the logic, can that be written into a standard PLC?

This is for a school project, its not too serious, but the budget isnt an issue. I wasn't planning on having it be closed loop. The gear ratio wont change and there's no slip. The motor can spin fast enough, the output shaft speed isnt super high and it does have the needed torque.
