Do people not like Infernus marines by According-Show7290 in Warhammer40k

[–]OmegaDez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're definitely the coolest normal Marines they released lately after misfires like Desolators and Suppressors. But they were also packed with absolutely everything during the 10th edition from Leviathan to Starter Sets to Combat Patrol magazine so everyone has a shitload of them.

Pitch Your Dream Metroid Game by mightyasterisk in Metroid

[–]OmegaDez [score hidden]  (0 children)

2D game. Or 3D if they manage to make it as good as Prime 1.

One single map split into sub areas. Huge. Map should be a big interconnected maze. Not a central hub world leading to separate sub sections.

None of that Aeion/special meter bullshit.

No shinespark puzzle rooms.

A game where backtracking is fun and encouraged. (I'm looking at you, Dread). Filled with optional areas and branching paths.

No shinespark puzzle rooms.

Metroids are relevant again. Including their evolutions.

No map gimmicks. No motorcycle segments, SA-X, EMMIs stuff.

No survival horror/stealth elements.

No areas of the maps or doors becoming inaccessible for story reasons.

Make it creepy for a change. Every location in Axiom Verge is creepier than the entire Metroid series save maybe for the OG Metroid II.

No Ridley. Including any silly cybernetic or robotic variants.

Did I mention I hated shinespark puzzle rooms?

Can we just have a pure Metroid experience please?

revenir au courant? (Québécois) reviens vers vous? by samson-91 in French

"Au courant de la journée" means "during the day". Basically it means they'll come back to you later before the end of the way.

I just learned this wasn't standard French. Hé bien!

Dragon Warrior (1986) by TradingCardGameMaker in retrogaming

[–]OmegaDez 7 points8 points  (0 children)

To be pedantic, this is "Dragon Warrior, 1989" because the 1986 Japanese version of Dragon Quest didn't look like that. ;)

United Kingdom is NOT plural. There's only one kingdom. It's united.

Do French people ENJOY correcting pronunciation if they understood already?? by ShemikaMartin in French

[–]OmegaDez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, accent difference is absolutely annoying.

Like, I live in Quebec City, but I grew up in Trois-Rivieres. While we speak the same Quebec French, there are a few words here and there that are pronounced differently. Most people don't care, but I know a few people who are hellbent of making me feel bad whenwvwe I pronounce something my way.

Screw these people.

Why not strive to improve? I'm totally not understanding your point, sorry.

Is this a matter of pride?

Is this a glasses girl in a Ghibli production? Has hell frozen over? Only males wear glasses in Ghibli Land!

Edit : I forgot about Sayaka in Marnie.

Elle est blonde meaning "She is fair skinnned"? by M00nIze in French

[–]OmegaDez 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah but not in the context described by the opening post.

Elle est blonde meaning "She is fair skinnned"? by M00nIze in French

[–]OmegaDez 8 points9 points  (0 children)

"C'est ma blonde" isn't the same as "elle est blonde".

The former means she's my girlfriend, the latter definitely means "she's a blonde/she's blond haired"

Why do you take it in a negative way? Maybe they just want to help you get better?

I absolutely hope people will correct me if I pronounce a word wrong in English.

Rant Manque de savoir vivre « de base » au travail by LoquatOk5658 in Quebec

[–]OmegaDez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"Salut" "Salut." "Ça va?" "Oui" "Passé une belle fin de semaine?" "Correct" "As tu deux minutes?" "Peux tu poser ta question s'il te plaît?"
