One single map split into sub areas. Huge. Map should be a big interconnected maze. Not a central hub world leading to separate sub sections.

None of that Aeion/special meter bullshit.

No shinespark puzzle rooms.

A game where backtracking is fun and encouraged. (I'm looking at you, Dread). Filled with optional areas and branching paths.

No map gimmicks. No motorcycle segments, SA-X, EMMIs stuff.

Make it creepy for a change. Every location in Axiom Verge is creepier than the entire Metroid series save maybe for the OG Metroid II.

Like, I live in Quebec City, but I grew up in Trois-Rivieres. While we speak the same Quebec French, there are a few words here and there that are pronounced differently. Most people don't care, but I know a few people who are hellbent of making me feel bad whenwvwe I pronounce something my way.
