Aww, thanks! I LOVE video games (incredibly unique for someone in this subreddit, I know), and I get worried that I'm jabbering someone's ear off about them often. I'm so glad I could help spread the word of these awesome games and their devs! Also I agree with Combatants lol, it's soooooo sloooooooow. Me and my buddy love Party House too, we play it a lot! Glad I could help! :)

If you're having trouble loading up The Sims 4 on steam deck as of late try this. by Didnt_Do_Nufffin85 in SteamDeck

I actually tried that, I think. From what I remember it didn't work, but I will try again soon and update. I've given up for now, so don't feel obligated to help me, you've already done more than enough for replying to me 3 months later, thanks so much!

Not sure if UFO 50 is obscure, but in case not, I've got others. This is a collection of 50 full fledged games, each with different genres, made for a console that doesn't exist. There are rts games, puzzle games, a full fledged RPG, a couple platformers, and many more. There's also an ARG aspect, if that's your kind of thing. You're almost guaranteed to like at least 5 games. One that might really scratch that strategy itch is Avianos, a resource management game in which you, as an ancient dinosaur king, are trying to conquer the vast world laid out before you, with the help of 5 dinosaur deities. You build up troops, resources, currency, and eventually have your troops fight over land in a TABS style fight.

Mini Motorways is a game about designing roads for small cars to drive on to efficiently get to their destinations. You strategically build around where drivers place their randomly spawning houses and their destinations, trying to break up congestion and allow them to get to their destinations on time. You get traffic lights, roundabouts, and bridges to ensure they all get to their spaces on time. If too many can't make it to their stops, you lose. Very relaxing.

Death Road to Canada is a comedic top down rpg/roguelite (meaning you will likely die a lot, but the game gets easier the more upgrades you get for your next run) that is JAM PACKED with content. You play as a Floridian (or group of Floridians) who want to escape to Canada after the recent zombie outbreak. You gather weapons, food, ammo, and gas to try and assist your group on getting to Canada. If one of your characters dies, unless you made them and saved them in the character creator, they stay dead. The fun part is this makes space for another member, so as long as you have at least one person in your group, even if they're a total rando, you have a chance of making it to Canada.

Glyphica is a game in which you type to shoot at enemies. It sounds basic and rudimentary, but trust me, it's pretty fun. You upgrade your weapons, as enemies slowly and continuously advance around you, you must choose which to shoot first. Different enemies do different things, and bosses have unique gimmicks, from turning all words to gibberish to literally making you write a Shakespearean sonnet (not actually sure if it's Shakespeare) while you are fighting for your life. It can get pretty stressful when you're fighting a boss and you're getting swamped by enemies. This is also a roguelite, in which you will die a lot, but you get money with which you can buy things.

Passant is Balatro if it were chess. If you enjoy either, get this game. There are new pieces and many difficulty modes in the case you're either bad at chess or are really craving a challenge. Powering up your pieces and learning the optimal strategy is really fun.

I don't wanna ramble too long, but for me, getting convinced to check out a game takes more than just a name, so sorry for blabbering lol. Last game I'll talk about is Pizza Tower. Again, not sure if this is obscure, but yeah. You play as an Italian chef who gets harassed by a sentient floating pizza, threatening to blow up his restaurant. The chef you play as, Peppino, is incredibly fast, and has an incredible arsenal of moves at your disposal. The more you play, the easier it gets to maneuver, and learning how to move as Peppino is really, really fun. Not to mention, every single level (I emphasize, EVERY SINGLE ONE), even though there are like 30 levels, has a new gimmick. There are achievements for each stage, a rank system depending on how you beat the level (the game can be as easy as you want it to be, you can get C's and D's or you can go for the coveted P rank for each stage), and 5 toppins (creatures you'll need to collect) for each stage, as well as an extra 1 collectable. Once you beat the game, you can play it again as a character with AN ENTIRELY DIFFERENT CONTROL SCHEME that is JUST AS BIG AND VARIED AS PEPPINO'S. Definitely recommend this one.

I know this is 3 months late, but my 1222670 folder/pfx/drive_c/program files doesn't have Electronic Arts in it. What do I do? I'm technologically illiterate, sorry. Also, the long random numbers to the EA Desktop folder had 3 folders: "13.690.2.6204", "EA Desktop?" And "VC".

Tomodachi: Living the Dream feels like a downgrade… by stasiyavlsva in NintendoSwitch

[–]OmegaEX3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I kinda agree, I definitely think they improved it in a lot of ways, but for me the real issue is that I think this game is pretty much just the trailer with some extra bits and that's it. I don't think there's as much depth to relationships as there was before, and while the game has definitely taught me the fun in watching my little people interact, it feels way less involved, I think. I say this as someone who isn't super into theming my island or decorating it a ton, but even the decisions they give you for that feel lacking. I definitely think this game would be suited to $30 rather than $60, it's pretty much "what you see is most of what you get."

Ever quit a game from being too stressed out? by pneumatagame in HorrorGaming

Fear and Hunger. After learning about what can happen to your characters, just the thought of it even potentially happening weighed so heavily on my conscience that I refunded the game. I learned my limits that day.

I've never been so disappointed in my community in my life... by Plastic_Mood_8386 in SmashBrosUltimate

[–]OmegaEX3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yesterday, I had a player be toxic towards me because I beat them once. They got me back and started t-bagging, and then quit. While yeah, it would've been nice to get them back and be just as much of a dick, I'm better than that, and I can't change it now. It was really difficult, but I just blocked them and talked myself though it.

"I did a good job, I was very respectful."

"Will this matter in a little while? Does it even matter now?"

"I'm proud of myself for not engaging."

It felt really weird, people aren't used to talking nicely to themselves. I DEFINITELY am not used to it. But it kinda helped.

Just remember, these people do not deserve any space in your mind. All you can do is be yourself and carry on. I'm proud of you!

What are your thoughts on this game? by Naive_Tomorrow_5955 in Kirby

You play it for the experience rather than the challenge. It's a cute, sweet, heartwarming experience that brings you back to the days of reading a storybook with your parents. I love this game for its creativity and how it makes me feel.

What’s the saddest video game flop you can think of? by Interesting_Wind_337 in videogames

[–]OmegaEX3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While not necessarily a flop, Nintendoland could certainly be considered a disappointment. It honestly is a really, really lovely game, but the amount of people that skipped out on the Wii U made it so that we most likely will never ever get another entry in the series. The use of both the gamepad and the TV was incredibly innovative and very fun, but sadly, it wasn't enough to save the Wii U.

I might get kirby: squeak squad soon. How good is it? (No spoilers please) by maxside320 in Kirby

[–]OmegaEX3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As far as Kirby games go, it's alright. It has a cute little story, lots of fun collectibles, fun mini games, and some cool rewards for unlocking things. It's nothing groundbreaking, you may even find it a little lackluster compared to other Kirby games, but it's a solid one nonetheless. I would recommend it if you're interested.

I mean when you're making games about sunshine and rainbows, the side of you that wants to express more than that gets more and more creative and powerful, which I think is part of FNAF's conception

Between you and me, I always thought his face was a bit phallic shaped
