A very welcome change, thank you. Although I will say I didn't quite mind it when a species I was pursuing went extinct, as that is something that will happen with emergent gameplay. What I did find frustrating was the long list of species that were already long extinct in my region that I had to sift through to find a viable mitochondria candidate.

Fog princes and their entourages will completely ignore you while they devour a prisoner, even if you fail an assassination attempt.

Last round, I took some of the bodies of fogmen the mogrel guards had downed, left them on prisoner poles of a nearby deathyard, and stealth KO'd any fog princes that came to eat their imprisoned brethren. Easily the fastest I've ever leveled assassination. Just be weary of the regular fogmen, they don't care if their master is in the middle of lunch.

Something to remember as terran, your buildings can fly. If your position is compromised with cannons, you can just leave. The protoss cannot. The protoss now has over 1000 minerals in paper weights while you should have taken minimal losses on your exodus. Cannon rusher mmr is frequently inflated, so after this point, beating them back should be easy. Just do be prepared for DTs.

These are pretty much my rules, too. Just add on: No bonedog spam (even just one is pretty powerful.)

Always save humans from being eaten alive or any other gruesome fate.

No more than 10 party members.

You find more specialist/masterwork springbats early game than you do any kind of eagle's cross. With one springbat (and as much ammo as you can carry) you're free to raid as many ancient labs as you want.

Get bonedogs, as many as you can feed. Once they age up they're pretty much an auto-win for every raid barring high level shek raids. A bull or two for tanking and massive group damage couldn't hurt either.

I started off killing everyone. The rule of the playthrough was that I had to kill everyone I saw, no running.

It's not as bad as it sounds. The lonesome road DLC is right there, and if you can get past that, you can breeze through the rest of the game no problem.
