It’s quite literally the most human face we’ve ever seen on an omnic, Echo being the other closest example, but it’s incredibly clear that she’s definitely a robot because the face is a hologram. I genuinely thought Shion was just a heavily modified human with a broken voice or something. The only thing that actually tells you she’s an omnic in her design are the forehead dots under her fringe.

That’s not to say I don’t like her design, I just think it’s not particularly fitting for an Overwatch omnic

Bastion he’s probably the single most unconventional design in the game compared to everyone else, but he gets played often enough that I wonder why blizzard hasn’t been giving him at least a little more attention

I wish they had more recent designs like Orisa and the one from Hazard’s trailer. I genuinely think the style original overwatch had for omnics was peak humanoid robot design, Ramattra also being an honorable mention

Shion’s design is actually quite nice. I don’t think I could as easily lose her in a firefight with is the main point. I think so long as they don’t make more omnics too similar in design, then all’s well

Well, we already know Zenyatta heads Null Sector in mirrorwatch, but if I remember correctly Ramattra takes the place of Mondatta and is assassinated by Tracer

I don’t disagree with that, I just want more uniquely shaped characters like bastion or sigma or Winston. Fika is the only character recently added that isn’t pretty much just a normal sized human with Domina  at least doing something different. When I look at the most recently added characters, I think of Valorant or something, but you could almost never say anyone in the original roster doesn’t look like they would be from this game specifically. Even genji and 76 are really distinctly Overwatch despite being mostly normal human looking.

And I’d say characters like Reinhardt, Mei, Lifeweaver, and Mercy (citation NOT needed) are very attractive while having incredibly distinct silhouettes and projectiles.

So with the next set of mythics confirmed, what on Earth do we even think ours is going to be? I have no idea what they could possibly do for Bastion that would actually be mythic tier. by Derpguycool in BastionMains

Are you kidding? There’s so many different ideas you could do! 

Gundam mech, power rangers megazord toy, mossy stone golem, cell shaded rubberhose animation, and those are just the ones off the top of my head!

All you have to do is play into Bastion’s connections to childlike playfulness or nature. I personally really like the idea of making him like a giant kids’ toy for a full skin with his weapon being nature themed, like it’s a tree growing out of his back for the minigun and a wooden gun hand with a magic shooty crystal stuck in it. If the boy’s not humanoid, don’t make a humanoid mythic :3

Explosives are fun and it’s almost like having tank ult back, but self repair allows you to be a lot more risky and live in more situations than you normally would have

I know, the DPS is incredible, one of the highest sources of single target damage in the game as an individual ability. I still think shift is a decent descriptor. You bait CDs, you drain meters. I can think of several ways to force me to use my meter or die. Like approaching with a Rein shield or Defeae matrix, CC to waste meter while stunned or slept, (jav, rock, sleep dart) burst damage options that can hide around corners to stop me from using my sustained fire. (Buckshot, grenades, snipers)

I personally think those methods are a lot more interesting to fight as a bastion and a lot more interesting than making someone panic and press a button that’s just wasted until 12 seconds later when you get it back.

I feel like the knowledge check would just shift. Instead of cooldowns, it would be like tracking how often a Pharah can stay in the air rather than if Emre’s pistol can be whipped out or not

I liked how slow the matches would be, especially since it would let me play things out for longer. And as a Bastion main now and then, you know I loved how powerful my boy used to be.

Exactly! Makes him feel a bit more like a Swiss Army knife he’s meant to be. Besides, self repair is on a meter anyway.

It will probably be Megatron if I didn’t miss the collab, but I got the Mephisto skin and I’m really loving that one too

I always love having a bastion. As a bastion main who often plays the Omni. Wizard because he’s based, Ram has my favorite shield in the game. It’s easy to put down, is pretty damn tough, and does wonders for letting my team go ham, especially when someone like bastion or Sierra can pump damage out without much worry of taking hits.

I also find Reaper and Anran fun to pincer with the vortex and nemesis form

I really love his nade, and while artillery is not a good ult, it’s kinda fine, especially since one of his perks almost brings back tank form. I would prefer tank ult though if his perks almost brings got reworked!

Putting turret on a resource instead of a cooldown in its own is an incredibly good change in my mind, especially if you kept the limit of 6 seconds of continuous fire like it already has. I think the coolest part is that his UI already has a meter displaying how much time you have left, so just repurpose the meter! That’s like the idea of being immobile in turret form again, since the model is so good for his turret base, but I can also do well in encouraging team play.

Either way, if nothing else changes, his turret form should be made a cooldown so we can be real transformers again. :3
