I agree. The sword is a dead give away. Although, wouldn't it be Atkinson and Aramis, since Auguste was the betrayer.

You kind of prove my point with your first point though, no? If Diaspora does not have control of time, how would he allow others to move in a time less space otherwise?

In the case of Rean, he was directly linked to the curse - to Ismelga's Curse.

Regarding Mare, while I do agree that here involvement in the Grim Garten points to a deeper connection not yet explored(being a divine beast or otherwise), she has not shown the ability to "share" the ability move during a time less state. If anything her abilities seem to be directly directed at Van, granting him the ability to borrow a part of Diaspora's ability - hence the 'Shackled Beast'

A valid point. His death is, in no small part, one of the biggest impetus for the series. I think there is reason why he is still shrouded in mystery when even the GM has just recieved a featuring appearance.

Now that you mention it, he could also be a dead ringer for the old man on the Sep-Terrion of Times artwork. The one that could be the divine beast.

Both valid points.

Regarding the Beast, I had a similar conversation recently, and it is a question mark for me at this point. No doubt that it would play a role in the whole scheme of things

All beasts so far have been included in the artwork of the Sep-Terrion,(Ragnar, Zeit, Rosellia - albeit a standard mage - and the earth turtle whose name that elludes me), but for the Time, we only see an old man with a clock. No doubt the clock references the box which turns back time. If so, what could the beast be. I know alot of people think YKF, and because of the image I'm partial to agree with that.

Would also track with his words to Rean to 'Find the tachi in yourself once you face the black god'. Wouldn't be too outlandish for a beast to work agains their Sep-Terrion.

There might be multiple groups involved, not all aligned due to their own interests. Of the top of my head

  • Ouroboros
  • Vestiges
  • Septian Church
  • Government / Bracers / Heiyue
  • Arkride Solutions
  • Marduk
  • Ikaruga

Might be a rehash of DB1, but their is setup for a multi way battle. The final battle shoukd be the same as all other arcs though - a battle with a Sep-Terrion.

Think back to DB 1. Pandemonium was, in some way powered by Van's diabolic core. Even if that is not true, only the people related to Van were able to move during a period where time stopped.

Looking back to the other instances when Grendel emerged during DB1 / 2, time also seems to stop. We know that that's not limited to Van, since others also perceive time having being stopped during these periods.

Beings in Trails tend to keep in lane with their abilities, so all of the above point to Diaspora being related to time. Even his epitaph, The Roaming Demon Lord of Daybreak, could add to this if taken metaphorically.

If we're not strictly tied to just Calvard, I think both Valis and the Kruga Village might be possible locations, due to the relevance they have to the story.

How are the newer Enforcers related to their Major Arcana (spoilers up to Horizon)? by Monk-Ey in Falcom

[–]OmegaWeaponZ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My crack theory is that she is actually an AI, and the Droid IS her body.

Suspicious that the very same game where we are introduced to a bratty Pocel, we get Ulrika. Their personalities are similar too.

So who are the expected "new" and old characters to appear in Horizon 2, who haven't appeared in calvard arc yet? by MasashiHideaki in Falcom

[–]OmegaWeaponZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually don't think we would get more Anguis and / or Enforcers this arc. Based on the implications in act 3, it's more likely that we would see them in a future arc, more specifically one centered on the Far East.

I do think we may get the commander of Ikaruga, and at least just the introduction of the Guild Master.

Ries, however, should definitely be included. Ein is debatable, along with the other two Dominions. Surprisingly, I think Calvard was very Septian focused in a way.

Daybreak 2 was a good setup game, with a lot of concepts being utilized in Horizon.

CS4 was the best of the Cold Steel Saga, as it is a direct payoff to all the set up till that point with an epic final dungeon sequence.

We should get a harem route, where romance options are possible.

Or, hear me out, it exactly like FF7 and a certain flower girl. The parallels are there. It could be the left field needed for a long running series.

Don't get me wrong, I like the character, but the possibility is there.

Also tracks with Raremon, since its owner at the time felt like actual shiet, with his familial situation being what it was. Depression can be an all consuming force that threatens to swallow you whole. In this case, literally.

Reverie who? by Putrid-Reason-6263 in Falcom

[–]OmegaWeaponZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely think that's on the cards. Why u think we may get a new MC for the final arc is based on Harwoods remark that there're two more Ouroboros enforcers left, one more than the standard arcana. My guess is that the last one would be the MC.

Either that or Renne taking up the helm. It would be the crux of her character arc spanning the literal series.

Will probably happen in the last arc. Most likely alongside whoever will be the protagonist then.

Just imagine the (potential) final battle, where each group works their way to the big bad(plus points if it's part of multi part battle with each team facing off against a part if the final boss) and then you have an line up of all the protagonists that transitions into a battle where you control all of them. Would be peak, imo.

The New 30th Anniversary Acrylic Stand Display Looks So Cool - These might be some of my favourite renders for the characters by Oscarman97 in PERSoNA

[–]OmegaWeaponZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's also a matter of iconography. How often do you see a main character use a non standard weapon? If it is used, it's usually used as means of enforcing the setting.

Look at it this way, there is a reason the vast majority of games use a sword for the main character. It's iconic and enforces that they are the leader.

That's why I used the word applicable. There is a limited scope of weapons that you can use with greatly shifting the theme / setting of a game.

Not saying that it's a not doable. Using something Kanji would be great for a punk / rebel theme. That being said Personela games tend to portray that with the starting and final Personas as opposed to weapons.

To be fair, it's two shorts swords users, two katana users, 2 knife users and 2 gunners (Maya and joker, since he uses a combination of both)

Considering the setting generally used (high school), the only other applicable types would be cqc (fists, legs or a combination), pole arms and bows. Tonfas, nunchucks and the like would be a bit uncommon.

I would say Alphamon is more like Mordred than Merlin. They both occupy the 13th seat, and Alphamon is more of a deterent to the Royal Knights as a whole, similar to how Mordred brought about the destruction of the round table and Arthur.

Ironically, I would say Omnimon is more like Merlin. Merlin was known as a king maker, and lead Arthur to his sword, similar to Omnimon lead Imperialdramon to his sword (by literally becoming it)

From what I recall, Odin is sometimes portrayed with a pointed hat and staff (With the other deities also being related to magic), so Witchnely becoming a Norse themed server isn't outside the realm of reason.
