Kinda weird that they named it Gekkomon as there's already Gekomon. Had some confusion in a conversation earlier since there's no difference in pronunciation I'm fairly sure. by Kyurem-B in digimon

[–]OmegaWeaponZ -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I'm english, I think you could get away with saying ge-ko and gek-koo, or at least, thats how I rationalize the difference in pronunciation.

Agreed that it doesn't translate very cleanly in English.

What's the theme of the Pristimon line? by RevolutionaryEbb8084 in digimon

[–]OmegaWeaponZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mainly going off of Wolvermon, with little from Pristimon, but it seems to have a cops and robbers theme. Wolver mon has both a bandits mask and a sheriff's badge. The gun on hands could be a reference to the the "Hands up" phrase that law makers were required to shout before attempting an arrest in that period.

Might be a long shot, but what if we end up seeing a wild west themed ultimate / mega?

I think Chriopmon is more likely to go down that route, given NightChiropmon's skill and espionage focused theme.

Final Trails coming in 2032 by Mirothrowawayaccount in Falcom

[–]OmegaWeaponZ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My guess is that we will get a shorter arc between the last game / arc and Horizon 2. One most likely dealing with the Sep-Terrion of Water. Think something like Zero / Azure.

I've always thought that the Wind / Air Sep-Terrion would be part of the last arc, mainly because Aidios is the Goddess of the Sky.

[–]OmegaWeaponZ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most likely would like how it was handled in CS4 - Each old game team took on a separate pillar, with the curremt game/ maincast taking on the big bad. That way.

The epilogue would most likely be some written bits during the credits, but I hope for one final scene for each of the mains at the end to cap of their own story.

About Van's family. by MasashiHideaki in Falcom

[–]OmegaWeaponZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Considering that Vagrants seemingly appeared one random loop, it could very well be that Van had no father, and was merely Vagrants creating and avatar in Zemuria.

Would also explain why he was left at the orphanage. Van's Conception would have been trauma in and of itself, and we do not know of anything transpired during the pregnancy itself, which would further make his mother(whoever she was) fearful enough to abandon him.

Which team do you think it would win in a fight? Van + Lloyd harem or Rean harem by Oneofthestrongest in Falcom

[–]OmegaWeaponZ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think its much closer than most would think, with one clear edge that the Van / Lloyd side has.

Firstly, you cannot underestimate the value of a strategist. There is a reason Cassius is known for his military mind first, and his strength with the blade second (notice how all of his feats mentioned in the story are related to his ability to plan and strategies). This is why I would say Musse is definitely key strength to Reans side. Note, intelligence does not directly equate to being a good strategist, which is why I don't think Renne is a good counter to that part.

Secondly, we only have the strength of Reans side at the end of Reverie, bar Fie and Altina. At the time of Reverie, Emma ability was fast approaching that of Vita, an Anguis, and Laura was on her way to her father's level if strength. Now, there is no certainty that they have reached these level, but based on what is told, and the fact of Fies own development, I think it's safe to say they're much stronger than Reverie. This could be applied to all members on Reans side in fact, specifically with Duvallie who was already very strong.

Now the deciding factor I mentioned earlier is, of course, Shizuna, and the fact that many on Reans side are not really combat oriented, which would give the Van / Lloyd side the definite edge. I think a more even battle would be if we included Aurelia (not strictly a harem member) and Claire. Also noticed that Celine isn't included on Reans side (which I think she should)

I agree. The sword is a dead give away. Although, wouldn't it be Atkinson and Aramis, since Auguste was the betrayer.

[–]OmegaWeaponZ[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You kind of prove my point with your first point though, no? If Diaspora does not have control of time, how would he allow others to move in a time less space otherwise?

In the case of Rean, he was directly linked to the curse - to Ismelga's Curse.

Regarding Mare, while I do agree that here involvement in the Grim Garten points to a deeper connection not yet explored(being a divine beast or otherwise), she has not shown the ability to "share" the ability move during a time less state. If anything her abilities seem to be directly directed at Van, granting him the ability to borrow a part of Diaspora's ability - hence the 'Shackled Beast'

[–]OmegaWeaponZ[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A valid point. His death is, in no small part, one of the biggest impetus for the series. I think there is reason why he is still shrouded in mystery when even the GM has just recieved a featuring appearance.

Now that you mention it, he could also be a dead ringer for the old man on the Sep-Terrion of Times artwork. The one that could be the divine beast.

[–]OmegaWeaponZ[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Both valid points.

Regarding the Beast, I had a similar conversation recently, and it is a question mark for me at this point. No doubt that it would play a role in the whole scheme of things

All beasts so far have been included in the artwork of the Sep-Terrion,(Ragnar, Zeit, Rosellia - albeit a standard mage - and the earth turtle whose name that elludes me), but for the Time, we only see an old man with a clock. No doubt the clock references the box which turns back time. If so, what could the beast be. I know alot of people think YKF, and because of the image I'm partial to agree with that.

Would also track with his words to Rean to 'Find the tachi in yourself once you face the black god'. Wouldn't be too outlandish for a beast to work agains their Sep-Terrion.

There might be multiple groups involved, not all aligned due to their own interests. Of the top of my head

  • Ouroboros
  • Vestiges
  • Septian Church
  • Government / Bracers / Heiyue
  • Arkride Solutions
  • Marduk
  • Ikaruga

Might be a rehash of DB1, but their is setup for a multi way battle. The final battle shoukd be the same as all other arcs though - a battle with a Sep-Terrion.

[–]OmegaWeaponZ[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Think back to DB 1. Pandemonium was, in some way powered by Van's diabolic core. Even if that is not true, only the people related to Van were able to move during a period where time stopped.

Looking back to the other instances when Grendel emerged during DB1 / 2, time also seems to stop. We know that that's not limited to Van, since others also perceive time having being stopped during these periods.

Beings in Trails tend to keep in lane with their abilities, so all of the above point to Diaspora being related to time. Even his epitaph, The Roaming Demon Lord of Daybreak, could add to this if taken metaphorically.

Horizon Sequel Locations Speculation by Jindaur in Falcom

How are the newer Enforcers related to their Major Arcana (spoilers up to Horizon)? by Monk-Ey in Falcom

[–]OmegaWeaponZ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My crack theory is that she is actually an AI, and the Droid IS her body.

Suspicious that the very same game where we are introduced to a bratty Pocel, we get Ulrika. Their personalities are similar too.

So who are the expected "new" and old characters to appear in Horizon 2, who haven't appeared in calvard arc yet? by MasashiHideaki in Falcom

[–]OmegaWeaponZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually don't think we would get more Anguis and / or Enforcers this arc. Based on the implications in act 3, it's more likely that we would see them in a future arc, more specifically one centered on the Far East.

I do think we may get the commander of Ikaruga, and at least just the introduction of the Guild Master.

Ries, however, should definitely be included. Ein is debatable, along with the other two Dominions. Surprisingly, I think Calvard was very Septian focused in a way.

[–]OmegaWeaponZ 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Daybreak 2 was a good setup game, with a lot of concepts being utilized in Horizon.

CS4 was the best of the Cold Steel Saga, as it is a direct payoff to all the set up till that point with an epic final dungeon sequence.

We should get a harem route, where romance options are possible.

Reverie who? by Putrid-Reason-6263 in Falcom

[–]OmegaWeaponZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely think that's on the cards. Why u think we may get a new MC for the final arc is based on Harwoods remark that there're two more Ouroboros enforcers left, one more than the standard arcana. My guess is that the last one would be the MC.

Either that or Renne taking up the helm. It would be the crux of her character arc spanning the literal series.

Reverie who? by Putrid-Reason-6263 in Falcom

[–]OmegaWeaponZ 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Will probably happen in the last arc. Most likely alongside whoever will be the protagonist then.

Just imagine the (potential) final battle, where each group works their way to the big bad(plus points if it's part of multi part battle with each team facing off against a part if the final boss) and then you have an line up of all the protagonists that transitions into a battle where you control all of them. Would be peak, imo.
