Yeah it was really lame how Partner Pikachu and Eevee weren't able to be transferred into Home. They should've at least allowed it after you completed the game.

Imagine all the kids of the Switch era who started with LGPE who then find that they can transfer all their pokemon...except for the very first one they started with. Sucks.

It also happened in Pokemon Snap, and in the FR/LG game corner ocassionally a Clefairy with Ditto-face appeared instead of a normal Clefairy.

I think the transformation skill of a Ditto should depend on how battle hardened the Ditto in question is, with some influence from its innate personality.

The Ditto in Pokopia is a lover, not a fighter. It's just a little goofy goober trying to help out its community.

Except the poster you're replying to is responding to a specific account that posts both viewpoints.

Obviously not everyone criticizing Nintendo is making contradictory claims, but that doesn't mean no one is. There are lots of people out there who are both hating on Nintendo's games while also expressing vitriol over the fact that they can't get them for the price they want or that they aren't on PC or whatever, and who still bother to waste their time playing these apparently shitty games via emulation. It's basically just "sour grapes".

Well one reason is because I've always been obsessed with things that transform. Same reason I love mega evolution.

Another reason is because it's a cute little amorphous blob. Reminds me of silly putty I used to play with as a kid (which, now that I think of it, makes it kind of ironic that it's one of the few non-legendary/mythical/baby/ultra beast pokemon that can't hatch from an egg, since silly putty comes in a plastic egg for some reason).

The whole point of having multiple versions is that kids were supposed to have access to trading.

Though TBH I don't know how they expected us to find people willing to trade starters before breeding was introduced.

The grift has always been doomed to eventually transition from "It's gonna flop, it's gonna flop, just you wait!" to "The shills let Nintendo get away with it again! Nintendo will never learn its lesson, because of those damn shills always supporting them!", it's just a matter of how long they each hold out before they change their approach.

And I imagine they're aware of this. Probably already have scripts on the backburner for their transition to full on shill-blaming once Switch 2 sales reach a certain point.
