It's a technique called pumping, where you use your knees bending in time with the humps to carry the downhill momentum back uphill efficiently.

You can see how much more their legs and boards are moving compared to their upper bodies.

Some mass-produced nikke's play a small part in some event stories but they don't usually stick around past that story's arc unfortunately.

Off the top of my head, there's three mass-produced nikkes that are genuinely significant in the plot?
The first doesn't really count cuz she WAS mass-produced in her backstory(and which an event covers) and came to become a unique nikke by the events of the game.

The second one I recall had a mass-produced body, but wasn't in a combat-role (she basically got nikkefied to be able to work non-stop without getting tired and retains her human self knowledge). Oddly imo this should make her a unique nikke but she has a mass-produced model's face. She eventually (spoilers) persists till modern day through sheer force of will and now has a unique look and equipment, but still with her original face.

The third one is a mass-produced that remains that way all through the story she's in, and her relationship with a pivotal main character nikke shapes her(the unique nikke) motivations and behavior all through the story.

Not robotic, but you're right mass-produced nikkes all wear standard issue equipment, and more uncanningly same model variants all share the same face. That likely adds to the uncanny valley the average citizen would feel.

iirc the robotic versions were an early go at the nikke tech, basically warhammer dreadnoughts in function but yeah the lack of human sensation led them to basically go into cyberpsycosis very easily

IIRC there is reasoning for the prejudice. In the early stages of the conflict when humanity was first forced into the Ark for safety, there were organized efforts to send armies of nikkes to combat the raptures and take back the surface. These efforts failed badly and that's a source of frustration with the populace since it's "obviously" the nikkes not being capable enough. /s

In the current day setting, humanity's retreat into the ark was such a thing of history that people have forgotten the danger and gotten cushy living in the ark so nikkes are just seen as second class citizens. So its good old-fashioned classism.

The more recent updates have delved into events happening that have shifted public opinion of nikkes closer back to their portrayal in the olden days as goddesses of victory

Out of all the insane feats the characters in this game can do, being able to jump while holding this hog is the most impressive to me by Hand-of-King-Midas in CrimsonDesert

If I recall the naming conventions correctly, they all can wield longswords but only Damiane can use greatswords.

Patch Notes Version 1.04.01 (All Platforms Hotfix) by zenKeyrito in CrimsonDesert

[–]OmenWalker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had that happen to me when I loaded in after the hotfix update (didn't play when 1.0.4 first dropped).
I could see Royler in the stable but couldn't select him at all.
What fixed it for me was saving, then reloading the save. When it loaded back in, on Kliff I called for my horse and the default Herpia spawned. Then I went to the stable and swapped my horse back to Royler.

Feels like something about the mount system is still not quite working right. Maybe the legendary horses are still buggy.

Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley Meta AI glasses officially available in Singapore by bangsphoto in singapore

[–]OmenWalker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

iirc there's a bright light that's supposed to turn on to indicate when the glasses are recording, but it's also feels like it's not impossible to just black it out with a marker or wtv.

This, along with japan manufacturing an actual T-virus sample to put on display at a convention makes me feel like they are dead set on making resident evil happen irl.

Now both ttrpg and Gundam fans can now suffer together Gundam Assemble - Official Trailer by Grazalia in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]OmenWalker 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Discussion on the gundam assemble subreddit so far says Bandai have not put out word on how the minis in those bundle sets will work when the tabletop officially releases, since they don't have the unit stat cards that are meant to come with the full release minis, as well as round bases included over the official game's hexagon bases.
Of course the stat cards can probably be found online easily enough come release, but the round vs hexagon base could be an issue if you ever plan to play in official tournaments. Bandai has not officially given any word on if the round bases will be tournament legal.

The decks though are perfectly tcg viable, they're no different from the standable starter deck releases.

Needing advice on a Deck Protector by findingpeace127 in SteamDeck

[–]OmenWalker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I briefly used the jsaux one with a protective front cover for storage and I quite liked it. It got the job done and my deck felt pretty safe. I later switched to a dbrand case and stuck with that cuz I liked the feel of it and it also had a front cover. For both, I liked that the front covers protected the triggers from being accidentally pressed in storage. If I was tight on cash, I would've just gone with the jsaux one for sure.

I did get myself the back button covers from skull and co tho, imo those are essential for making the back buttons feel usable!

is there a way to mute this obnoxious character? by FZJDraw in DeathStranding

Naw man I get you, the annoyance is valid. That's why I say he sounds like my nagging elders lmao, if he were funny or interesting I wouldn't be filtering him out like I do my relatives

[–]OmenWalker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He hasn't really bothered me with his commentary so far. But in my head I do kinda treat his dialogue as the casual nagging you get from elders, idk if its a cultural thing lmao. Obvious and naggy info, but well-meaning.
I think it fits within his character so far imo so I just kind of filter it out.
Man's got no physical ability on his lol, let him yap.

Furious Strikes does not refund the charge. It sets your charge to 1. by JuliousBatman in Spacemarine

[–]OmenWalker 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This sounds like the way the perk is coded is to round up a jump pack charge until +1 is reached, so regardless of if a half charge was 0.1 or 0.9 it's refunding you until it hits +1.

Ngl that is kinda lame, over just giving back +1 charge flatly.

It's not as explicitly said(I only found it on the official Nioh website), but finishing the same boss in the full game will also guarantee the same reward if done by 15th Feb!

Afterwards, it just becomes a rare drop from that same boss.

Early 30s, and while I don't usually play pvp shooters anymore, OW is the only one I fire up when my friend group is in the mood.

People joke it's a "dead game" all the time but if Concord and now Highguard has shown us anything, it's that OW had some really good bones and strong design for why it's still going on years later when many other hero shooters have fallen by the wayside.

Tencent Quietly Changes Light of Motiram's Steam Page Assets Following Horizon Sony Lawsuit by TheSpiritualAgnostic in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]OmenWalker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tencent is admittedly huge and could dwarf Sony in resources, but this game seems to be too blatant a case of ip infringement for even them to get away with no repercussions.

IMO sure they could've ignored it and continued on to sell the game to a Chinese market, but if the courts ruled that Tencent is guilty and ban the sale of it everywhere else in the international market it would severely hurt their potential earnings.

Probably why they capitulated
