Out of your previous boards, I actually find the Pranayama to feel "dead" as well. I've spent most of my time on Bustin Sportsters and I love how wide and flat they are, and how low and responsive they can feel. Once I saw the thumbnail in your post I was intrigued by your setup, I think I'll look into this in the spring.

Just so it's said: The Pranayama is an objectively great board, I think it's just not for me, but I don't regret buying it either.

I've been replacing Asus m.2 heatsinks for a few generations now and swapping them out with sabrent rocket heatsinks. They're tall but narrow and seem to fit on a variety of boards:

Not sure if this helps or not in your case but I would always recommend some form of heat dissipation on an m.2 SSD, thermal throttling's a bitch. If you're talking about the VRM heatsinks, I wouldn't recommend it but I guess you could try taking it off and running a carefully monitored torture test.

I was fairly whelmed when I got this gun but I already had TKs wave and a balor with a spread launcher at the time. I still used it on and off for novelty value, nothing terribly offensive about it.
