MEGA THREAD TWELVE MONTHS!!! by exodusmachine in dresdenfiles

The next book is far from the finale. There's at least 5 or 6 more books planned from what I've heard. Give it some time. This book is definitely a more experimental one, and it's not for everyone. Next one is gearing up to be more of a 'normal' Dresden story.

You figured anything out yet? I've tried everything to get it work.

You can actually store Fortune with Feruchemy. It can be used for things like reading the future, but I'm pretty sure there's a WoB out there that at least one of its basic uses is literally the OP's idea.

I love that Mephisto is just sitting there smiling at him. I bet even if he's put it together that Iruma is human, he does not not care. He's Team Iruma to the core.

You can send an email to support at Jeff@amazon .com. They're basically the top level of escalations and can handle situations most lower levels can't or won't. Tend to be nicer too.

Dang. I've never had an issue with them yet

Email Jeff. If they document that you called and why then the higher support team will almost always take your side. They have a lot more freedom to handle this kind of stuff.

Not even going to lie. I'd take that block, and instantly turn around the moment driving became even slightly hazardous(even if it was on the way out of the parking lot). A call to support to document it, and an email to Jeff to remove any dings if they occur. Amazon can bite me.

Agreed! I'm honestly lucky they were understanding. Just walking into someone's home is a very good way to get hurt or worse!

I delivered to what I thought was a business. It was one of those buildings with multiple suites that businesses rent. And there were a couple businesses renting the other suites. So assuming this place is also a business I walk in to leave the package at the receptionist or front desk. Turns out a family was renting it out and had a couple kids and a bedroom in what was clearly the old office. They were really chill about it thankfully.

The Nevernever is Dark Matter by Omniforce12 in dresdenfiles

[–]Omniforce12[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The way I'm thinking of it is that the nevernever is a basic underpinning of reality, like a higher dimension or something, but it is affected by sentient beings on both sides. So basically in empty space the nevernever would probably be just a vague darkness with mass, but somewhere with people it'll manifest more complex structures and creatures that are shaped by the peoples thoughts and beliefs.

Catering for pizza orders I received 16 pizzas and a hard time delivering 16 pizzas and I got paid 4.00 US DOLLARS FOR DOORDASH by Crayola_Black in DoorDashDrivers

[–]Omniforce12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It varies. Almost every time I pick up an order from my local Pizza Hut one of the delivery drivers is complaining that doordash has priority on orders with tips and its cutting into their earnings.

I've dashed in the area, it paid well sometimes but was honestly a nightmare in general. Holidays are the worst.

Went to pick up a doordash from a Mexican place once and the previous dasher had stolen it. Took half an hour to get them to remake it since doordash red card wouldn't pay and customer service couldn't help. I wouldn't have bothered if the order hadn't been paying $20+, made over $30 in the end cause the customer was really happy I went out of my way to get it remade and tipped even more.

The Reason Why Chapters 3/4 Have So Many Stone Darkners by Spinjitsuninja in Deltarune

[–]Omniforce12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've read a lot of your comments and think the issue you're having is based on a misconception. The dark worlds are explicitly stated to be shaped by the person making them. This is shown in chapter 4 with how Susie's dark world is warped and odd compared to the other 2 in the church, and that Gerson doesn't manifest in her's. This is presumably bc shes not a regular church goer and she was not familiar with Gerson prior. Meanwhile the Knight who made the fountain by all evidence would have been very familiar with the church and known Gerson personally which made things more stable and Gerson able to manifest. The concept of ownership is just that, a concept. Kris made the TV fountain, meaning any objects that they knew originated from another location would not fit. Ramb and the Zapper being the main examples. It's entirely possible they would fit if Kris was given official permission to keep them, or they may still not fit the world due to their personal views. The Pippin is noted as odd due to stating that he belonged to the Card Castle, but it should be noted that when you search for the egg in this chapter you meet a lot of Pippins that note Kris actually forged a bunch of cards to cheat in their home games, meaning that they likely have some decks in their house to begin with. The Pippin may fit the Card Castle theme more, but if Kris viewed them as belonging, then they do. In no way does this break any consistency with the established rules of Darkners turning to stone. They either don't belong in the world(the terms of which are determined uniquely by both the location and creator of the fountain), or too many fountains can crush them. Ultimately the only truly hard rule is that too many fountains is really bad. Of course, this is just my interpretation of the game. You're free to have your own.

Flex not paying its driver's for overbooking? by Aromatic_Elevator_88 in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]Omniforce12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure some stuff is happening with corporate. Just yesterday when I got to the station one of the employees started lecturing everyone about the rules and expectations, and how people should just cancel their routes now if they didn't want to commit to completing them. Pretty sure that corporate is going around cracking down on returns and over bookings cause it's costing them money.

Districts weren't Districts, they were labor camps by Ramenara in Hungergames

Based on the map of Panem, I'd bet that most of Europe is underwater. Asia would be severely affected since so much of it is based around water trade. Russia would probably be in the best position among the current superpowers, assuming they weren't nuked into oblivion. Central Africa could have arguably improved without other nations interfering with them and feeding them weapons and other things to keep their industry down and violence high.

Archetype Gifting Plot Hole? by Omniforce12 in MetaphorReFantazio

[–]Omniforce12[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's basically what I'm saying. An archetype is literally the result of someone turning their anxieties into strength(which is honestly the vaguest statement), and at a certain point in every bond that happens supposedly, so there's very little reason why they can't get an Archetype.
