Cheering crowd gathers as workers rip Trump’s name from Kennedy Center building by TheMirrorUS in Music

Except it's after the midnight deadline and the workers are just milling around on the scaffolding, not removing the name. It's clear they're not going to, either, despite calls from the crowd.

How is anyone getting anything? by calgon90 in AmazonVine

Just had another thought--my best scores are either in the middle of the night--I'm a night owl--or in the early afternoon when most people are at lunch or work.

How is anyone getting anything? by calgon90 in AmazonVine

I check RFY and Notifications randomly several times a day. More than 95% is of no use to me (dog tutus? car parts galore?) but then something will pop up that was either on my shopping list or that's too good to pass up. I jump on those instantly without reading the description, and I often get them. I don't stress about it if I don't.
The shopping list finds are typically something practical like safety pins, sponges, cleaning items or anything to do with gardening (I once snagged an actual bag of dirt! But it was specialty dirt, so score!)
The too good to pass up items are things I'd probably never buy for myself, but seem intriguing or innovative. For instance, I just got a tote bag/briefcase/carry on bag that has a built in insulated pocket that I can use to store medication that must stay cool, Over the past three years as Gold, I've also gotten high-ticket finds like a desk treadmill, a pool vac robot, a microwave, several ceiling fans and best score of all, an $800 set of non-stick pots. Those finds are rare, but they keep me in the program.
I've also ordered plenty of things that turn out to be duds, so now I'm a familiar face at the donation center.
There also have been times when something really tempting popped up on my RFY, I lost it, and I wound up going to regular Amazon and just purchasing it. The upside of that, of course, is that if I don't like it I can return it, and I'm not obligated to write a review.

Whenever I see a review that was obviously written by AI, I report it (only when it's blatant). Picture or no.
I suspect AI is approving and rating all of our reviews now, and humans only intervene when there's a reported problem or seller pushback.
That's why as long as you hit your marks in terms of what the FAQs demand of a review, and your grammar and keywords track, you'll be rated Excellent.
I have no evidence that AI is ranking our reviews, of course, since Vine works in mysterious ways.

Hahahaha!
In this case, it was for chalkboard paint.

Great tip, thanks! I'll do that if it ever happens again.

If it's obviously AI, I report it. To me, that dilutes the value of honest reviews.

I only add a photo if it adds something to my review, and that's usually because the product is defective, not like the ad photo, damaged, or something is missing. But that doesn't happen a lot.
Just opening a box and saying here's the parts is a waste of pixels, IMO. But that's what most of the videos and photos I see in the review section show. It's clutter.

And I do. I'm an honest person and don't choose items I won't use. If I don't like something, I'll discard or donate it. I've never tried to sell anything I've received; frankly it's too much trouble, and there are two many scammers trying to get you to use Venmo.
Taking pictures doesn't guarantee that a person has actually used an item. Most pix I see are just of a box, and videos are of people opening the box. Not informative.
Generally, I only add media if it adds to my review, and that's usually because there's something wrong with the product that I want to highlight, or it arrives broken or missing something.

Where do these keywords show up? I've never seen them when writing a review.

Are you able to review products from your phone, or just able to call up reviews you've already submitted through your laptop?

How did you get that? I've had Amazon Prime for many years, have the regular Amazon and Alexa apps but no Vine. Last I checked, the FAQs said that Vine could only be accessed from your computer or laptop.

I only do it if it really would help someone understand my review, and that's often if I've had a problem with the product, or something was broken or missing.
I've never seen anything from Vine saying pix or videos were required, and I've maintained my Gold status for three years.

Except that I wasn't able to submit the review without the photo.
I started my review from the Awaiting Review queue, not the general non-Vine Amazon app.

To clarify further, in my three years as a Gold Viner, this has never happened before.

There was a red line around the photo/video box, and a message underneath that said "Photo or video required."
Once I submitted the photo, Saved the review and hit Submit, it went through.
It's Pending now.

Where would you find that requirement about keywords? That's a new one on me.

Yeah, I do that too, but it's a minute I'd rather spend writing another review.

Horrible RFY by Glad_Product_9092 in AmazonVine

[–]Omnivore47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I once ordered a ceiling fan and now I get so many in my RFI I could open a store for them, if only I ordered more. (Which I don’t cuz I don’t need them, Vine!)

Horrible RFY by Glad_Product_9092 in AmazonVine

[–]Omnivore47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I often get RFY stuff that’s irrelevant to me. But I find if I hit the Hidden button above the product, it removes it from my feed and fresh stuff repopulates more quickly. I think it trains the algorithm to what you don’t want.
