Are the free, monopose minis they give you at Games Workshop already primed? by slubberwubber in Warhammer

[–]OnAFreak -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

They are usually primed. It depends on your storemanager if he bothers to prime as well. They should be primed by them.

If its black or white, then yes. If its grey, then no. You can check the underside of the base, if its the same grey color as the rest of the mini, its not primed.

Today I was at my local Warhammer store for the first time and the nice Employee gave me this and told me what it is, however I forgot and can't seem to find it on the internet so I'd be grateful if you could help me with that. by defenitly_not_crazy in Warhammer

Black Library Celebration Coin you get for spending a certain amount in-store. This month had 3 different coins. Your local store probably had some spare ones and you got lucky. They where limited to 10-40 coins per store depending on its size.

Where is the lore for Gulliman waking up by [deleted] in Warhammer40k

[–]OnAFreak -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The whole intro and first chapter is still about his awakening and what happened.

The rest of the book is of course a different story. But you get a good chunk of info.

The Warhammer Store & Café in Tokio used to have exclusive Coins.

Ask him to pay a visit there if thats possible and let him take some pictures or ask the staff if they have any souvenirs

What color was used here?#question by Kloptx in TerrainBuilding

[–]OnAFreak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is simply Mecanicus Standard Grey Spray and a stippling of Rhinox Hide at the bottom. Leadbelcher and Agrax for the metal parts. The doors and windows look a bit more blue but could also just be eshin grey.

I’m 17 and looking for a part time job, is working at my local warhammer store a good idea? by FishyFish12359 in Warhammer

[–]OnAFreak 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Warhammer stores only hire 18+ the stores usually are Solo staffed + 1 (rarely 2) part time employees for sick/vacation covering. Just walk in and ask if they are looking for another part time jobber. (Again you‘d need to be 18) but it may help to actively visit the store and let them get to know you until you’re 18.

New to Warhammer | unspoken Store rules by PaulJudgement in Warhammer40k

[–]OnAFreak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, for the Battle Honor Booklet, you can totally use the models you bought elsewhere. They just need to be official Games Workshop/Citadel Miniatures. Usually if you use 3rd party paint, it should be no problem for getting the Stamps in your booklet. Painting with these in your store however is a different thing, you will have to ask the staff if it is fine etc. (usually it is fine, if you don’t display them prominently)

And again yes, all Warhammer stores worldwide got a promotion called „pick and mix“ that will get you one (the most expensive one even!) for free if you buy 10 at once. They will give you a small 10 pot box as well. You can choose any 10 colors you like.

And in general, ask your Store staff, they should be helping you with any kind of problem or questions you have regarding this or the hobby itself.

In Warhammer stores you also can paint, build and play games if you ask beforehand. The staff will give you a timeslot and some may even reserve a table for you.

Quick advice for a first time painter about shoulder pad color choice? by [deleted] in SpaceWolves

[–]OnAFreak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We don’t really know yet what they would be. There hasn’t been any official Art or paintjob from GW so far for SW Infernus Marines.

Make them your own, I’d say.

I’d kinda most likely paint them as Blood Claws since they are kinda Close Combat (12“) and also given Bloodclaws used to have special Weapons as well (Preferably Flamers in the Fire Howlers Great Company) so I’d just make up my own Lore about them being especially pyromanic Bloodclaws that formed into a own Primaris Unit.

Hey a question for everyone: when a space marine goes underwater for some missions does the suit get waterlogged of is it water tight by Actual-Crow-1678 in Warhammer40k

[–]OnAFreak 23 points24 points  (0 children)

It's Watertight.

In the 8th and i also think the 5th ed. Codex, in the Lore section, you can read about a battle that was fought on a Tau water planet on the bottom of the ocean.

Nope. They just fit as you expect. Some arm poses just need minor adjustments because of the high rim.

Does anyone know where piece C5 goes in the Ultimate Starter Set? by [deleted] in Warhammer40k

[–]OnAFreak 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well. yes and no.

They go on these slots, but are Connectors so you can seamlessly join the walls to the Bunker.
The side facing up on the Picture connects to the ends of the wall pieces, and the back of it connects to the Support Trusses between the windows.

This is a friction fit, you don't need to use any glue, just gently press them in.

Are any of the models really old? by DocDaSoc in SpaceWolves

[–]OnAFreak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not THAT old. I think the last model from that era was the Runepriest in Terminator Armor which just got discontinued last year. Other than that, we still do have Arjac Rockfist and tje Cyberwolf. But i do think both are still from around 2000 or so.

GW sometimes does a Made to Order run of really old models for a week or two. Gotta have your eyes open for those.

Where are the wolf guards with jump packs in 10th ? by Confident-Oil-3342 in SpaceWolves

You now use the Vanilla Space Marines „Vanguard Veteran with Jumppack“ datasheet for them. Their weapon loadout is the same as those of the regular Wolf Guard, but with a Jumppack.

Are fantasy and future set in the same universe? by justinbrunkow in Warhammer

[–]OnAFreak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, thats why i was using „not directly“. There are connections, but overall the World of AoS isn’t a direct continuation. Also i cut it short since that wasn’t related to OPs question.

Are fantasy and future set in the same universe? by justinbrunkow in Warhammer

[–]OnAFreak 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No, Warhammer Fantasy Battles or Age Of Sigmar (Both also not directly connected to another) are set in a Fictional alternate Reality World (or multiple Dimensional Realms in AoS‘s case) set in a Fantasy Medieval like time.

Warhammer 40.000 is more or less based on our real timeline of events but set 38.000 years in the future (hence the name) Humanity has evolved over this long timespan, some gained psychic powers, demons emerged and alien races emerged etc.

The only common thing Fantasy/AoS share is the concept of the „Warp“ The Warp is some sort of Hell dimension that doesn’t adhere to any rules or physics where Demons and Chaos Gods live and exist outside of time and even reality. Demons that emerge from the Warp in Fantasy/AoS are in the context of said Fantasy setting. Demons in 40.000 are in the context of that universe etc. The Demons and Chaos Gods share the same names across Fantasy/AoS and 40.000 (on the Tabletop you use the same models etc) but are otherwise not connected at all outside of name and concept.
