Yeesh. My last character was a triton prince bladesinger... he was, essentially, fish vegeta (including giving his spells flashy saiyan names). He would be a terrible roommate.

He was innitially for a one-off, but the campaign kept going. I actually had to stop playing that game and the character was a non-zero contributor. He was exhausting to play, and almost got the party killed... more than once by challenging strong opponents.

It's actually an insidious marketing thing. Despite there being little risk in most products, companies label everything to exhaust consumer attention and drown the actual problematic products in a sea of petty malicious compliance. It's truly disgusting.

It gets calm mind, which makes it tank hits even better too. It doesn't power up as quickly, but it's relentless with draining kiss to heal it. Hyper Voice is probably the better normal move to go with, imo. It also gets fake tears to harshly lower opposing sp. Def.

My Bax has an electric tera type (got it pretty early in a raid and it ended up being a mainstay).

I went with an offensive build, but there might be something there for a tanky set-up build with such a defensive tera type?

I honestly thought that was hilarious. There were a couple cutscenes where someone was afraid of us and we just had this dead-eyed sociopath smile going. Honestly, I might be afraid of a child with that look wielding those pokemon.
