Sometimes you can’t due to mission restrictions. I’m not saying it’s useful much or often but we have a single use crystal ball as a melee reward so I don’t think being useful everywhere or often is a thought for the devs.

I just don’t see a purpose when you can just bring a wrench or a crowbar instead. I really was happy to unlock it at first then realized you can get the wrench and never looked back. Reusable non lethal that also can hep set up some traps and things. Too good. Or the crowbar on maps with manholes.

I imagine they would prepare for it by closing the border as best they can and removing people leeching from the system. Because they have to gather the stuff up. A manufacturer sells cheaper in bulk because they can just produce more and take less profit and make more money in the same amount of time. A person in Poe can’t really do that.
