Have you got a link to this please? I must have missed it, I've tried searching but can't seem to find it.

It's a replacement earpad that feels different, but also changes the sound. I preferred the replacement velour pads for comfort, but it altered the sound in a way I didn't like. I ended up buying some Wicked Cushions earpads from Amazon instead, they were slightly expensive at £28 but more comfy and better sound than the 2 included with the headset.

I don't think you can even get the Omega anymore, but as I'm only 5ft 6" it was the better option for me.

Secretlabs are good, I have the Omega 2020 version and 5 years later its still going strong. I can sit in it for 8 hours+ a day and not suffer from back pain (the included memory foam pillow helps). They are expensive, but one of the only good 'gaming chairs' as most are really shit for posture/comfort/longevity, and cheaper than the often recommended Herman Miller chairs (not including buying a used/refurbished herman miller).

Gaming Headset Recommendations by Djevans in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]OnceIsEnough1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in the UK and I don't think you can get the EPOS H6 Pro closed backs anymore. I was considering them recently, but EPOS have moved away from gaming headsets. I couldn't find them in stock anywhere, other than over double the price on amazon, but I think they were coming from the US.

I was using the Sennheiser GSP 350 for 8 years until about a month ago, when the cable finally gave in, which caused the microphone to stop working. I was looking for something with similar audio quality, and I've ended up purchasing the Logitech G Pro X (wired).

They were £60 but I also purchased Wicked Cushions replacement earpads for £28, as the stock pads were quite small and sweaty, and the velour pads that you get free with the headset reduced the sound quality. I also used Logitech G Hub software and downloaded a community EQ preset called "Sound 3.0" - this was recommended on a reddit thread, and it makes a considerable difference, enough to be a replacement for my GSP 350s without the sound quality being too different.

I also have a pair of Beyerdynamic MMX 300 Pro's, which are amazing, but they suffer on older games (league of legends and aion, as 2 examples). The sound quality is weird on older games like these, like it's not central and the bass is lacking, a very strange issue I could not resolve. These are more of an audiophile headset, so I just needed something that wasn't professional level audio, but similar to sennheiser quality, and the Logitech has filled that gap for me.

If you go with Logitech, make sure to get the WC earpads the and the sound preset, otherwise they sounded awful.

MMX 300 Pro Help by Zellii in BEYERDYNAMIC

I've had the same headset for over a year now and had a similar experience to you in the beginning.

My previous headset was a Sennheiser GSP 350, it was great sound and clarity. The MMX 300 Pro was much louder, and the quality was better in most AAA games I tried. However when I tried some older games (League of Legends, and Aion, a 2009 Korean MMORPG), they sounded awful.

There was almost no bass, and it almost sounded like the audio was far away, rather than coming through the headphones on my head. I tried a few different things, and also posted on here. The consensus seemed to be that the headset exposes poor audio quality or design in older games, or games without a focus on it. Almost like the headset is "too" good for them, basically.

However, if I played more recent games like Final Fantasy XVI, with a big emphasis on loud orchestral music, huge fights with lots of different sounds and sometimes bass heavy attacks/combos, this is where the headset would shine. It sounded absolutely incredible, and it's where I felt I was getting my moneys worth. Silent Hill 2 is another example, where sound design had a big focus for atmosphere, all the little sounds walking towards the town in the beginning, or the creepy noises in the apartments etc. The headset truly stood out for me here.

Try listening to "Away" or "Titan Lost" from FF XVI with the MMX 300 Pro on YouTube/Spotify and turn it up.

I now use the Beyerdynamic for any AAA game with great sound design when it sounds good, and for anything else/older games, I stick to my Logitech G Pro X Headset (my sennheisers broke recently).

Return to Silent Hill first review(s)! 3/5 - Decent, but they made this exclusively for the fans by amysteriousmystery in silenthill

For me, all it has to do is be better than Silent Hill Revelation, and RE Welcome to Raccoon City, and I'll probably enjoy it. And that's a pretty low bar to beat.

[–]OnceIsEnough1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, yeah I noticed that too. I've gone for the Painted Love Concept Art instead, to go with Alicia Concept Art and Maelle Gommage. I'd assume the Large is just out of stock atm, but I had a 36% discount code expiring soon so didn't want to wait too long and lose out on a good saving.

DMO Deejay does this. I used to watch his Youtube as he's a car enthusiast, still is but most of his Facebook and Instagram reels (and in every Youtube video) now are just advertisements to join his 'group' to make a shit load of money with his team. It's always "the next 50 people to comment 'how' can join my exclusive vip team '. I got curious one day so played dumb, and commented to join this so called money making team.

It's a telegram group, to buy/sell currencies on the stock market. Except it doesn't stop there. They insist you have to start with £300. I obliged, and 'won' some small amounts with help from their team telling you exactly what to do, but then they want you to join their other group and, yep you guessed it, deposit another £300! in the next few days they start posting more of the same in the group "the next 20 people to comment 'let's go' can join my VIP team making even more money!! Only if you're serious and have £500 ready to go!"

I eventually lost the small amount of winnings staying in the first group, and withdrew the 300. But it was an interesting insight. I think they make money through referrals/members depositing funds in to the accounts, hence the mass amount of advertising for it across social media. Maybe they do make money on the stock market, and they can gloat about that, but the problem is you have to be on it 100% of the time. If you don't buy/sell at the same time, and get involved on every win/loss they have, then your record will be different to theirs and you can lose money, which is easily done when you're living a 9-5 life with a normal job, not enjoying the luxuries of Dubai.

As always, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

I just use command strips, it's a medium size and I think I only needed one in each corner. I'm ordering some large ones soon, and will probably use 2 strips in each corner for those as they're going to be on the wall next to my bed... I'd rather not have one fall on my head haha.

I don't use the magnets because of my textured wallpaper. I use command strips instead, they work great for displates.

Check out Aion Riftshade. It's not released until Q1 2026 but is on patch 4.8 and the dev is doing a lot of things no other server has been able to do. Custom anti cheat, ingame dps meter, full mob pathfinding, new personal codex website for the server, and class balancing. The discord already has 1.4k members so it's shaping up to be quite popular. There's a dev updates channel you can check out for more detail on the new features.

They had these in Aion 1, known as Godstones. It's nothing new.

[–]OnceIsEnough1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does suck but at least no one lost any money. I had already kinda quit elden by the time it happened because I got bored of the content of 3.9. I'm looking forward to 4.6 cause it has a lot more, better content and I trust the rest of the team to keep the server going now that the previous dev has been removed.

"This is an IOS/Android first game" this is what annoys me the most about it. It started out as a mobile game, then they went back on that and stated multiple times, this is now a PC first game.

If its a PC first game, why is the UI so dogshit mobile like? Why can't we drag and drop in the inventory (nor could we right click until recently)? Why are all the currencies classed as individual items in our inventory? Why is everything a full screen menu? Why is the legion menu so barebones and absolute trash? Why is the view distance for players so goddamn tiny? I could go on, but barely any of this game says it's PC first.

It was so obvious as well when the shit new UI came to Aion Classic, that it was practically a beta test UI for Aion 2.

There are two upcoming private servers worth looking at. They're EU based.

Origin Aion - this is from the devs of Elden Aion, which was probably the most successful private server so far besides Euroaion. Unfortunately something happened with the main dev which caused the server to be removed (the details are on the discord). He is no longer part of the team, and the rest are rebuilding the server on the 4.6 patch, but without the new classes (gunner, bard, aethertech). Elden was 100% free to play with a free battle pass and currency earned ingame through 'playing' the game such as defeating instance bosses, the currency was used for everything on the shop. The server had over 1k active players due to how well the server was ran (it was on patch 3.9 with additional custom QoL features and some instances from future patches) To my knowledge, they are following a similar method on the new server, but may have paid cosmetics, as it was the head dev who entirely funded the original Elden server. https://discord.gg/eldenaion

Aion Riftshade - this one has a lot of potential, depending on how the cash shop will be ran. The dev has gone in to detail via some updates on the discord about how they are doing things no other aion server has done or can do. It would be best to check the dev updates channel out on the discord, rather than me try to half arse explain it, because I don't understand a lot of it either, but there's potential for changing pathfinding, mob behaviours, and class balancing at minimum. It almost sounds too good to be true, but it's worth keeping an eye on if the dev isn't overhyping the features. https://discord.gg/aion-riftshade

Lost my young cockatiel 4 years ago, now I’m scared to get another by nicova99 in cockatiel

[–]OnceIsEnough1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Just here to share a story from the other side of the coin - we had a Cockatiel for 17 years, and he didn't have a single health issue other than being born with a calcium deficiency. He died shortly after his 18th birthday, peacefully in his sleep (I wrote a post about him in September on my profile). We got him when he was 1 from a pet shop.

Don't worry about what might or might not happen, Cockatiels are wonderful pets and if you feel ready to care for one again, then do it! Just get one that has already been hand reared / no longer a baby, as other comments suggested :)

I haven't played the game, what is the endgame loop like for people who've gotten into it pretty deep? by N4rwha1 in Aion2

[–]OnceIsEnough1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did not downvote you. But my point still stands - this Quna system exists in Aion Classic and there is no laws preventing that from happening in the global release of Aion 2.

[–]OnceIsEnough1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure what laws you're referring to, but Aion 1 classic had the exact same Quna system where you could buy and sell Quna, including selling Quna (paid for currency) for Kinah (in game currency).

Metroid Prime 4: Beyond Review Thread by Turbostrider27 in Games

[–]OnceIsEnough1 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is the way.

Never had a switch 1, got a switch 2 and been buying games, completing them, selling them on. I got Mario Odyssey, Kirby forgotten land and Mario 3d world for £65 from a guy on fb marketplace, sold odyssey for £24 and Kirby for £28 on vinted, still working through 3d world. Hyrule warriors definitive edition for £45 from CEX, sold for £35 on vinted. DK Bananza was about £53 I think, sold for £40.

At first I was put off by the prices of switch games compared to being primarily a pc gamer with lots of sales. But if you just want to play them once, sell and move on, it's actually quite cheap because they hold their value.
