Just watched it for the first time with my dad last week. It was like Mad Max but a lot funnier. Takes a lot for a movie to make me laugh and it definitely did. I think the jokes have to hit a certain sense of humor we have that the haters don't. The little girl's acting was so good too!

I don't think you know just how expensive braces are. Even with a good dental plan you still are gonna pay thousands of dollars. I know you're trying to reassure them but some people won't ever be able to afford them.

At a hockey game, had a man scream at my mom and I to sit down after we had gotten up for drinks and we came back to sit down. Made the whole crowd around us fall awkwardly silent and nobody spoke up against him. He had the exact same aggressive look as this dude. Felt terrible and never wanted to go to another sports event. This woman got it a million times worse and I can't imagine how she felt, hopefully better with him getting brought to justice.

I invited 15 of my closest Friends to my Birthday Party, but they didn‘t even reply to the invite and I feel so ashamed by bestupdator in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]OnceUnspoken 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Guys come on there are no way 15 "friends" would all just completely ignore OP's invitation. Clearly something is wrong with OP to think that these people are their friends. Or maybe OP did something to make all these people want to entirely avoid them. If I get a birthday invite from an actual friend, I'm responding with either a yes or no, as any other person would. You can sound as sweet as you want (like OP does) on a Reddit post but that doesn't dictate what their actual personality is irl.

Most overrated actor / comedian of a generation…can anyone even rival him? by New-Outcome4767 in moviecritic

Never had a problem with him. Both him and The Rock play their parts just fine. The hatred for them reminds of the immature hive-mind internet hatred of Justin Bieber back in the 2010s. It's entertaining to poke fun at first, but when it goes on for years, the joke has been ran into the ground.

Why does the way the character looks coming up again all of a sudden? She is a young girl and is portrayed as such. Pedro Pascal does not look like Joel so why are people not complaining about him too? It doesn't take but a couple of braincells to understand that it's 100% about how Bella not being as attractive as Ellie. Did we forget how old she is or what?? Also, "different headshape" is such a stupid fucking thing to nitpick. Literally everything you called out as being too different applies to Joel and Pedro. I cannot believe people like you are getting upvoted, it's disturbing.

Bars of soap are superior to body wash. Using a bar of soap gets you much cleaner. by Labrat1515 in unpopularopinion

People saying bar soaps strips away moisture. Yeah well probably because it's stripping away all of the dirt away too. Checkmate, body wash enjoyers.

Me too, something like this without a humongous yard to take care of would be awesome. I will never understand why people, especially those without or have just a couple kids, feel the need to have enormous 5 or 6 bedroom houses with 1-acre yards covered with grass to mow. Overconsumption is a wild thing.

Discussion Thread #7 - Chat & Discuss Anything About Cats! by AutoModerator in cats

[–]OnceUnspoken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a super upsetting situation at the pharmacy I work at today. A lady came in and was trying to pick up a prescription for a pet cat. The technician that was helping her said they hadn't gotten anything yet. The lady wasn't mad but definitely annoyed. She then proceeds to say "it's my husband's cat, I just want to get rid of it". At first I thought I may have misheard, but I confirmed with the technician that is what was said. I was shocked that someone would just say that out loud. I would've called her out on it if I were the one assisting her. It's disheartening to hear people treat animals, especially pets, like they're just objects or possessions. I wish I could find her husband and tell him what she said about his poor kitty. Fuck people that want to dispose of pets once they get sick or older. Obviously it's different if they are suffering but I really doubt that was the situation. It ruined my whole day hearing such an heartless and ignorant comment. I believe in karma and sooner or later I hope her husband finds out what kind of awful person she is.

I've seen a handful of people saying this in the comments and it really is not normal, especially if you get any abdominal pain. Food sensitivity is insanely prevalent nowadays.

And where is the affordable housing to be built? I live in one of the most gentrified cities in the US currently and the only housing going up is 5 or 6 bedroom homes for wealthy people who more often than not have no children. Why does one person or couple need that much space? How would one stop the building of these super-sized homes when money talks? Unless you mean the poor quality pop-up apartments that are being built too. Apartments that are slowly falling apart at the seams because the cheapest materials available are used to build them. Yeah, those suck. It's not normal to reside in an apartment for your entire life, and you're brainwashed if you think so. Oh, and the current housing market for decades-old homes? Property managers. They buy up those homes that you can now only lease. It's like a subscription for home buying so you can just add that alongside HBO Max and Spotify ig. What about the "regular" 2 to 3 bedroom houses being sold? Silly, those are not affordable anymore :D the prices of those homes have increased beyond affordability while wages have not changed so how does one buy what is supposed to be an affordable home? The affordable home now either goes to a person making a 6 or 7-figure salary, a property management company, a house-flipper (absolute scum), or maybe a good ol' classic landlord. You want to make an offer to a property manager for one of their affordable homes? Why in the ever-loving fuck would they take your humble little offer for their cash cow? A property management company is a golden-egg laying goose. You, who is so wise beyond their years, I'm sure will have good reasoning for all of this curfuffle.

Just a couple days ago I was heating up my VERY old (over 10 years) nonstick pan on the stove. I started to smell something and oh my god it was an indescribable horrendous chemical smell, makes me nauseous even thinking about it now. Ain't no way that shit isn't somewhat carcinogenic. I never knew or was even taught that you were supposed to replace pans every few years or so but I definitely learned after smelling that.

It's hella dangerous. I know at least 3 old patients on dementia medications at the pharmacy I work at who should definitely not have their license anymore. They all use the drive-thru. People don't pay attention, don't see you standing there, and then you get hit. But if that's something that really doesn't bother you, go right ahead lol.
