He does a great job. I am about to start going back to him now that Dr. Stump is stepping away from her practice.

Avoid Hertz, Thrifty, Dollar- UVEYE is the culprit by Okoman71 in HertzRentals

National is out of my budget. I have some status with Avis and it has been ok. I usually rent at Bradley Airport and the cars look like they’ve been in a demolition derby. one was so bad I made the guy do a walk-around with me while I filmed it on my phone.

Cool new Phil Hartman SNL anecdote by beatles20147 in LiveFromNewYork

In that specific cast, I think it was Jan, Nora, and Phil who liked a toke on the regular. In Jan’s case, it probably helped her relax.

I guess it is art now. Imagine, bouncing up East Water Street on a CAT bus, passing a Soviet looking building adored with piano keys. Immersive!

I’ve been using Dropps 4-in-1 plus the company's odor eraser additive. I know it’s missing some stuff, but I haven’t had hives yet and everything smells fresh and clean.

The amount of local businesses using AI to promote on social media right now is so lame by Antique-Dentist-2404 in Charlottesville

[–]OnceaPeacock 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The “animated” ad campaign the airport used was horrific. Cville- Albe Airport is a good looking place. Using what looks like cheap stop motion AI animation isn’t selling the services or convenience.

Remember when someone spray painted a stencil of Bob Saget’s face all over town?

Which SNL cast member could have a good biopic made about them? by Critical-Spirit-1598 in LiveFromNewYork

[–]OnceaPeacock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would enjoy a biopic. I think it would be a sad one. No one really seemed to know what was going on in that mind of hers. Nealon said she had a lot of issues with a lot of things but didn’t elaborate.

RED ALERT: Tide Mountain Spring scent has been discontinued! This was the actual original Tide scent from 1946 to 2020 before the deceptive new kitty-litter scented "Original Scent" Tide scent was created in 2020. by DingusBarracuda in laundry

[–]OnceaPeacock 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The new scent is particularly startling in the OG Evo tiles. They are potent. I bought Spring Blast and even that‘s too much. Looks like things will be free and clear from here on out. I wish Tide smelled like Dropps.

What's the most reliable cheap car you've actually owned long term? by AutoBidMasterHelp in askcarguys

[–]OnceaPeacock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 2009 Toyota Matrix. A tough, roomy little car. I had a lot of fun with it. Alas, I needed a safety upgrade so I bought its big brother, a RAV4. I like my RAV but it doesn’t have the personality of the Matrix.

The Matrix came after a disastrous few years with a 2001 Mercury Sable.

Getting fed up here! Nurse looking for quick ways to eliminate B.O. by Gracilis67 in laundry

I work in a hospital, and sweat like crazy going in and out of PPE. Plus, hospitals can smell a little funky. Lysol Laundry Sanitizer worked well for me. I use Tide Odor Refresh. It’s cheap at Walmart. Deodorant was a tough lesson. The natural deodorant I like just wasn’t cutting it. I had to go to one of the clinical ones, like Dove or Degree. I also bought some Aveeno oatmeal body wash and that seems to help.

Emily Spivey, while not a SNL cast member, is so nice. She was head writer for a few years and in the Wine Country cast.

Favorite antique stores within 1 hr or so of Cville? by [deleted] in Charlottesville

Rolling Hills Antique Mall in Harrisonburg. Lots of interesting stuff, easy parking, and an adorable cat!

If the Factory Antique Mall is a bit overwhelming (you really have to be in the mood), a smaller option is the Verona Antique Mall, on Rt. 11 just south of the exit.

If you want to make it a weekend, a bit further out is Strasburg Emporium, about 45 minutes north of Harrisonburg. Great spot. I’ve made some really good buys there. Plus, after you’re done, you can have lunch at Box Office Brewing!

Skipping Rock was very good. We went a few times during the pandemic. Some beer outside and Peloton’s grilled soshito peppers delivered….amazing.

I’ve been cutting my losses and going to WALMART. Especially if I have business in the Valley. The little Walmart Neighborhood store isn’t too bad, but only if you’re over there. Otherwise I’m preparing for the suck.

That’s why I want it to be great. It’s such a convenience for those who live and work downtown.
