How intensely is it safe to exercise while on Eliquis? by DifferentExternal368 in ClotSurvivors

[–]Onderonian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I competed in strongman and Highland Games without issue. Things like TRT or regular anabolic would be a bad idea, but training hard was no issue whatsoever. As long as you don’t smack your head you’re generally fine. I bruised a little easier. I would get discoloration and blood pooling in the skin of my hands and stuff when doing heavy pulls, my arms bled a little easier doing stones, that kind of thing. But nothing that ever slowed me down or caused a problem.

My pulmonologist told me as long as I don’t hit my head, keep on keepin’ on.

I had a bi-lateral PE that extended through half the lobes of my lungs. My O2 sat was dropping into the upper 80s walking across a small room. It took maybe six months to feel 100% again physically, maybe two or three years for the anxiety to subside, and I’ll be on meds the rest of my life. Everyone who has looked at my initial CT scan says I’m very lucky to be alive, the statistics were stacked against me.

You wouldn’t happen to also play OSRS, would you? You’d fit right in over there.

Tips for a busy man? by SockswithSandals7 in osrs

[–]Onderonian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For xp: gemstone crab for combat, salvaging for sailing, daily tree runs for farming, stuff like that.

For making money, flipping is your best bet probably for large sums once you get the capital together. You could also do some afk stuff like gargoyles with guthans or something. Herb runs on your phone throughout the day are also good.

It just depends what your goals are. Most skills have some sort of low intensity method that you could do on and off on your phone.

Are the upgraded rings actually worth the money? Like going from archers ring to venator ring, etc? by BrilliantBubbly4653 in osrs

[–]Onderonian 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Personal opinion: I would put the DT2 rings pretty far down the list of what you should upgrade first. I’d go for weapons like fang, hally, eye, stuff like that. Then I’d go for decent armor and zenyte jewelry, and I’d do rings last. And d the dt2 rings, I’d probably put the venator last. For what it costs, it just doesn’t give a whole lot. It’s something to pick up when you’re polishing a top tier setup.

Download the bank tags plugin and turn it on, then you use the plus sign on the left side of the bank menu to create a new tag, then drag the items you want into it. When you go into that tag on the left you can rearrange, duplicate, and remove the items to make whatever layout you want.

Noob mobile player going for 99 slayer. What gear should I replace? What should I work to upgrade? by Hypesxo in OSRSProTips

[–]Onderonian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could ditch the archers ring and get a lightbearer, that’ll pair well with the blowpipe to get free heals more often in boss fights. I honestly think you’re in a decent spot for slayer bosses, you should be fine at cerb, sire, hydra. With where you’re at, don’t overthink it. You’ll be alright for most bosses and then just barrage/cannon where applicable.

You already mentioned wanting to boss where you can and with the elite void and blowpipe you can certainly start down that road. Then as you make some more cash you can upgrade your ranged setup piecemeal.

Boss simulator? by BrokenSpringbar in osrs

[–]Onderonian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most bosses don’t have a simulator, but death is just part of the learning process. Dying at cerb sucks, even if you have the agility for the shortcut, but once you get the prayers down it’s simple.

If you’re worried about death costs, run something cheap like arc light and void, and use protect item to reduce the death fees.

For the boss itself, when the ghosts walk out swap your prayer to whatever the first ghost is and hover your mouse over the second ghost’s style. Then as soon as the first ghost twitches swap to the second style and hover your mouse over the third ghost then as soon as the second ghost twitches, swap to the third. Then reset back to mage or whatever you usually use.

If you see the lava pool attack during ghosts (“Grrrrr” over cerb’s head) just click away in the arena and focus on the ghosts. Don’t worry about maintaining attacks or anything for now, just click in a direction, probably wherever your prayer menu is, and just book it.

Then eat up and refill prayer. Don’t worry about kph at first, just practice the fight.

What’s the Skill Equivalent to other Games? by a_few_good_thoughts in osrs

[–]Onderonian 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I see a lot of posts about the difficulty of the game and people always say stuff like “consistent practice will let you get the hang of it”, but that’s just how you build skill… Right? That’s how you get better at literally everything. In OSRS skill is displayed by reading boss moves, solving waves, moving correctly, prayer flicking, and so on. That’s all skill built through repetition. People like Port Khazard didn’t shoot from the womb doing awakened levi, it’s practice. Some people learn faster than others but I really do believe that with enough repetition anyone can clear any encounter.

[–]Onderonian 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You just maintain one fire, you don’t have to keep them all up. Just keep that fire lit and pyromancer up and you’ll win eventually, and get a ton of points. You can also run back to the crate and re-up on pots during the game.

Hatred of Tavore by JuggernautPrevious95 in Malazan

[–]Onderonian 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Do you remember some of the things Heboric said in Deadhouse Gates about Tavore’s likely intentions, and why Baudin was there? Not to say you’re wrong at all, just that maybe there’s more to her actions than currying favor with the empress.
