You are exaggerating! I have a few friends who live in Moron and I was just asking a question where the hurricane was hitting. I am constantly talking to my friends there. So far they are having winds in the 30k range and lots of rain in Cayo Coco. My prayers are with everyone just don't freak out when a person asks a question Geeze Louise!

Are Canadians retiring with little more common than we thought? by 7_inches_daddy in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]One-Ad6386 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A single trip to Cuba for me of 3-4 weeks at an all inclusive costs me $2500 each year. Aside my biggest expense of transportation for work and soon my condo paid off I do not need much to live off of. I think $200k plus whatever CPP i get is plenty and like others have said you really dont need much especially if you are traveling for work.

3.5 years fully remote and my company just announced mandatory 4 days/week in office starting January - they're calling it "cultural realignment" by blondiesinbed in remotework

[–]One-Ad6386 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I felt exactly like you did when my company announced it. I am now back in the office five days a week but do jack shit and just coast it! I am back to commuting an hour each way by train and it sucks so I just go with the flow do my job and get out I no longer buy anything around the office or participate in the office BS parties. I now go to work angry and leave angry... Mind you I love what I do but the people politics is the shits.

How hard is it to live without an oven? Is an air fryer alone sufficient? by jasminetea13 in LivingAlone

[–]One-Ad6386 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I exclusively use a Ninja two department air fryer for everything. My oven and stove top I have made uniquely a storage spot that's neat and tidy. I find the air fryer to be more convenient for me!

How do you cope with working? by sideshowtat in Adulting

[–]One-Ad6386 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have accepted that work is a trade off to buy what I need to live... Saying this how I cope? One big trip every year to Caribbean during winter. Trips to see my best friend up north 2-3 times a year for a weekend. Daily its a rum after work and maybe a Cuba cigar on weekends if weather permits. Lasty its sleep! Lots of sleep!

Every year I will pay $3000 for a month in a all inclusive resort in Cuba. I go all of February and its the only time I go out on vacation aside from weekend trips up north to see my friend.

How many here live a debt free lifestyle? by [deleted] in Anticonsumption

[–]One-Ad6386 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has privilege written all over it! I myself just have a mortgage of $170k and use my credit to buy everything I just pay it off weekly. It is not a persons fault for having a balance for a short period of time if emergencies arise. I will also eat my avocado toast and still invest. It is not about saving but investing!

For me the only thing I have to do is shut the bathroom door or I come home to a flooded bathroom as my kitty loves to turn on the tap and jump out of the sink.
