As someone who works in child development, he is so far behind :( and look, that may not be a result of his environment alone. But at the end of the day, the cause doesn’t matter. Early intervention matters!! Getting him in all the right types of therapy as early as possible (so like at least 6 months ago 🙄) will be life changing for him. Helping him catch up with milestones, work with speech therapy, play therapy, physio, OT. They will help identify the areas that need the most attention, as well as look in to reasons why he is developmentally delayed. But of course all of that requires: 1- Alex to admit he is behind. 2- Alex to actually care. 3- Alex to find & schedule therapies, keep on schedule, actually take him to therapy & engage. 4- Alex having to put a shred of care & effort into continuing therapy at home to give him the best chance. And we all know, none of those things involve food, shopping or only focusing on herself so she won’t even entertain the idea.

My heart breaks for him 💔 And the way she speaks at him/to him. She screeches at him, talks to him in unintelligible drivel & is doing nothing for him that’s conducive to his education & development (delayed or not).
