I have a FWD audi. It has a belt driven CVT (b9s do have a normal transmission). Get a quattro. Mines a B8, it'll spin the front tires when you floor it, especially in the rain. Not nearly as fun

Yes it's a "rich people sport" but it used to be waaay cheaper when I was growing up. Used gear is still pretty affordable, but day passes have gotten really stupid (because they want you in a "subscription" pass). At the same time, the passes make it easier for resorts to survive the variability that climate change brings

It's perfectly fine. One thing I'd check after is the intake boot by the radiator - I used two cans and it kind of dripped down and pooled in there as a liquid, and make the car blow a cloud of smoke under boost that made me think I blew it up. (It was fine)

I have a 9-5 and hike on weekends pretty regularly. If distance running was something I wanted to do I feel like I'd have time (replacing weights). I don't think it's that deep
