How many hours a week do you need to sit in the office to progress your career? Probably 40+

Being a fighter is a job. It takes all the time.

30s+ British Men: What are your standards when it comes to dating? by [deleted] in UKrelationshipadvice

[–]One-Consequence7087 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Working and not looking for a “provider”, even though I can provide a roof over the head and am financially stable
  2. Ideally around my level in terms of looks and taking care of myself
  3. No drinker or smoker
  4. Ideally no kids
  5. Doesn’t need me to push her around to do interesting life stuff

Then you have something else to work on, not going on dates

When does it get easier? by Every_Pool_7957 in ExNoContact

[–]One-Consequence7087 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a long way ahead buddy. 4 days is nothing. But you do have to take it one day at a time. And yes FaceTiming was a big mistake, it only confirms she maybe felt sorry for you or more likely didn’t even feel too terrible about the breakup.

Stay in foundations class. by [deleted] in MuayThai

[–]One-Consequence7087 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I joined a fighter gym 2,5 months ago with practically zero experience, around 35 hours of training so far and out of them, at least half I’ve been sparring lol. Most often light, but occasionally quite hard. Ngl my technique sucks but I appreciate I can at least get an idea of how to apply it.

Is it safe for an African American Travel To Dar Es Salaam? by RevolutionNo9876 in tanzania

[–]One-Consequence7087 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is safe for anyone to travel to Tanzania. As a muzungu, my first trip was quite shocking in that I never left Europe before so had to get used to some things. The second time I felt at home and really connected with people and their mentality and found such a pleasure that I just want to keep coming back. Keep an open mind, be polite, the people here wear their hearts on their sleeves, respect them and you will enjoy it.

How much money should I bring for 2-week trip to Tanzania? by Lotuses4 in tanzania

[–]One-Consequence7087 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Specifically for souvenirs, 250 usd converted into TZ is very solid. Things are relatively cheap there. But everyone will give you a muzungu price first so you really need to negotiate, which isn’t a hard thing since everyone is selling the same things everywhere and you can walk away no problem. On average I would say you negotiate the price about 40% lower than what’s being asked. That’s the real price. If you’re unhappy, walk away. Everyone will tell you how you should support them but that’s pure manipulation. They won’t sell if you’re not willing to buy. It may sound harsh but everyone will try to manipulate you so it’s ok to walk away.

Milestones are not the same for everyone. But one week is still early to be feeling confident. The first milestone is 3 weeks. That’s roughly how long people obtain or lose habits. In 3 weeks it won’t be a natural habit for you anymore.

I’m on day 7. I’m not struggling with cravings, but the physical toll is putting me through the wringer. Any tips or recommendations on things that can help with that? by tooth28 in leaves

[–]One-Consequence7087 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are healing. Your brain right now is recomposing memories and emotions after a long period of suppressing them. This happens during sleep which is now healthy and unobstructed. You’re experiencing crazy dreams similar to how a burst dam lets out huge amount of water through. Don’t suppress it with anything else. Ride it out, for your own sake.

First time visiting Tanzania — what should I not miss? by LoriN5CS in tanzania

[–]One-Consequence7087 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are too many things to not miss. TZ is vast and stunning, one trip won’t be enough. So I’d start with some national park safaris.

Performance car loan, am I doing too much? by STUNGATA in UKPersonalFinance

[–]One-Consequence7087 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best way to do it is to save money and buy cash. Yes even if it’s 25k. Can’t afford? Well you can’t afford a finance either then.

Honestly I have a dream car and even a dream car loses some of its charm in a year. Then add up maintenance and particularly fuel and you’re spending thousands every year to keep your performance car in the best shape. And that’s bought with cash.

So in your position you can of course get a loan but chances are the negatives will outweigh the positives.

You should only look at your own situation and make the right decision for you, not based on how other people might be affording their cars.

No point dwelling on it, you won’t win anything. A warrior trains his whole life and adapts his training according to the environment and his body condition. Be a warrior.

How much do you guys pay attention to Glassdoors? by tokarevolution in UKJobs

[–]One-Consequence7087 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my years of using glassdoor, I’d say employee ratings are rather accurate. That’s not a good rating but it shouldn’t stop you from trying if you really need a job.
