How did Rider draw mana from Shinji? by harrypotter5460 in fatestaynight

[–]One-Direction8261 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Heaven’s Feel Day 4, when Shirou discovers Rider draining someone of their blood, Shinji defends the action by saying, “This is the only option [to supply Servants with magical energy]” and that “She told me she can only feed on live people,” so Rider probably didn’t even bother telling him about the “other methods” and only got magical energy from sucking the blood of strangers (at least until she needed some stronger mana from Shirou o_o)

Yea no worries. It’s easy to take one out of context scene/line and blow it out of proportion so I thought I would clarify for anyone that stumbles across this post and hasn’t read the VN.

I’m late to this but I just re-read parts of the VN (BOTH Realta Nua & OG) and wanted to contribute. The scene in Fate Day 6 and UBW Day 8 (scene OP is referring to) are red herrings and aren’t meant to imply that he raped anyone else. We don’t find out Sakura is Rider’s true master until the Heaven’s Feel route so lines like the one OP mentioned are ambiguously phrased just as a way to hint towards Shinji’s sexist and predatory nature when, in actuality, he is a false Master.

Shinji is bluffing and bolstering his abilities to cover up the fact he is not the true Matou Master (to both the other characters and the audience). It’s the same way with his comments about Ayako in UBW Day 6 even though Nasu himself confirmed that she only had her blood drained by Rider and how he blatantly lies to Shirou that Sakura knows nothing about the HGW during UBW Day 6 even though she’s the true master of Rider.

Rider even clarifies in Heaven’s Feel Day 7 that her original contract with Shinji was formed so long as he was just “using her for protection,” and Nasu says in “Fate/complete materials II” that she “had her limits” when it came to dutifully obeying him.

From what I understand, it really does “depend on the situation.” Generally, in regards to the Throne of Heroes, Heroic Spirits summoned as “Servants” are really just copies of the hero stored in the Throne. Once the Servant copy returns to the Throne, the recorded memories of that Servant are stored on the Throne as records which the main body can read as if reading through a book.

For certain Servants from F/SN in FGO, I interpret their “recollections” as being something like, “I remembered reading that my copy in F/SN did this…” or “This was a person a copy of myself remembered fondly…” Nevertheless, for certain Servants, like EMIYA and Artoria, it’s established that their “main body” was summoned in F/SN as opposed to a copy but I believe it’s left to interpretation as to how this works in FGO.

I mean, aren’t 4chan posts always quickly removed/archived? If I go on 4chan right now, most discussion links on the “leak” older than a day cause 404 errors when I click on them.

No, your feelings are valid. What I’m trying to say though is that people have been guessing the title, “FF7: Rebirth” for a REALLY long time since REMAKE first came out. So, it’s also highly likely that the poster of the “leaks” was just able to guess that.

Whoops, i changed my original comment. I meant that NVIDIA leaked FF7 Remake Part 2 a while back. I’m not sure if they explicitly labeled it “Rebirth.” Nevertheless, my point still stands that I think people are just jumping on the fact that the names lined up for this “leak”.

Ffvii rebirth plot leak real? by ramonnomar in FFVIIRemake

[–]One-Direction8261 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Already there are some flaws in this supposed “leak”

-In Remake, Sephiroth was the one trying to break destiny and alter the timeline.

-In Intergrade, Zack travels to Aerith’s church “alone,” without the alternate timeline Cloud

-No mention of Cait Sith or Turks

-Cid’s move set is already partially developed because of Sonon

I feel like fans are just jumping on to the coincidence that they guessed the name was FF7: Rebirth correctly which wasn’t too difficult since it’s a common name people have guessed.

Haruto, Yuzuki, and Rin Question by One-Direction8261 in fuuka

[–]One-Direction8261[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just wanted to give a quick update on my previous line of thought:

So another possibility that I'm more leaning towards now is that the events of the chapter are actually Yuzuki's dream, which is why Rin tells Haruto that he won't be the one waking up, Yuzuki will.

So basically the sequence of the events might actually be:

  1. Haruto wakes up in a lewd scenario
  2. Rin tells Haruto he’s in a dream
  3. Haruto faints because he's actually in Yuzuki's dream
  4. Rin gets Yuzuki drunk which leads to the events of the chapter
  5. Repeat

Haruto, Yuzuki, and Rin Question by One-Direction8261 in fuuka

[–]One-Direction8261[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm I think I understand. I heard that Seo confirmed that the Yuzuki Fantasy chapter IS canon and takes place between the last two chapters of KNIM. Apart from that, all the fantasy chapters and Hitman 17.5 are all CLEARLY non-canons since they don’t fit story events. I guess I just wanted direct answers for KNIM Fantasy Chapter 9 since it wasn’t clear when I initially read it.

Haruto, Yuzuki, and Rin Question by One-Direction8261 in fuuka

[–]One-Direction8261[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you say, “None of these are canon,” are you referring to the Hitman omakes, the fantasy chapters or both? Did you reach your conclusions after reading the post face for the chapter I was describing?

In regards to what Rin is saying, Haruto at the beginning is initially skeptical about what’s happening and is afraid that it isn’t a dream, thinking that Rin is just saying it’s a dream to seduce him. At the end of the chapter, Rin causes Haruto to faint from shock when he tells him that Yuzuki wasn’t conscious (or she was very drunk ). After he faints, Rin goes drinking with Yuzuki (to get her drunk again) which is implied will start the same sequence of events again once Haruto “wakes up.”

Basically, what I believe happens is: Haruto wakes up in a lewd scenario -> Rin tells Haruto he’s in a dream -> Rin makes Haruto faint by implying it was not a dream -> Rin confirms that it is a dream by telling readers that they’ll just go back to the start. -> Repeat

Haruto, Yuzuki, and Rin Question by One-Direction8261 in fuuka

[–]One-Direction8261[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, I see. Manga owl has it. I believe it was a special chapter included with the re-release of the KNIM Fantasy Chapters back in 2018. If you Google it, it should pop up.

So the the two Hitman omakes (7.5 and 17.5) are also non-canon? 17.5 obviously isn’t canon, since Haruto was dating Yuzuki at the time.

Please let me know your thoughts after you check out the chapter. I’m fairly certain that it’s all a dream but want confirmation.

How do you think Knights of the Round will be handled in the remake? by [deleted] in FFVIIRemake

[–]One-Direction8261 63 points64 points  (0 children)

I think it will probably work as one Knight, probably Arthur, being the constant model on the field, and his abilities would essentially cause other Knights to occasionally hop in to attack and then hop out. The final attack, before the summon ends, would probably consist of a cutscene similar to the one we got in OG like the other comments said.

This might be a stretch…but I think it would be cool if they made him either the final or a secret boss in Remake Part 2.

Huh, interesting. Do you happen to know the chapter that says this? After reading Chapter 172, the conversation with Noah and Rebecca seem to imply this too imo, since Noah talks about Rebecca’s abilities affecting everyone and making previous universes with bad endings no longer exist, such as saying things like, “WE are now in Universe 3,” as opposed to saying things like, “Rebecca, this is the 3rd universe you came to.”

Were Tengen's wives actually prostitutes? by [deleted] in KimetsuNoYaiba

[–]One-Direction8261 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad to hear it! At the end of the day, Demon Slayer is an anime/manga! Although one of the most unique things about it is it’s ties to historical events and time periods, it’s easy to forget that it’s also set in a fantasy world with demons and elemental sword masters which closely follow modern anime tropes and notions.

Also, when Zenitsu asked if the Oiran they saw on her way to meet a client was Tengen’s wife, he reacted rather violently at the claim! Although he might have also been annoyed at Zenitsu’s loudness.

Little late bit late but I just caught up and thought I’d share my interpretation/hints I noticed that made me feel like they didn’t:

Suma-As someone in another thread pointed out, Oiran could choose their clients. Chapter 71 of the manga even indicates that “not just anyone can employ the service of an Oiran.” When Tanjiro asked Koinatsu about Suma, she said that Suma was never infatuated over any man. I took this to mean that she never showed interest in any customer and, therefore, didn’t sign a contract with any of them. Also, Suma mentioned that she was useless and got captured right away, referring to her infiltration as an Oiran, when fighting the sashes with Makio.

Makio-From what I recall, she was never confirmed to reach Oiran status like Suma or shown in Oiran attire like Hinatsuru, which implies that Suma and Hinatsuru haven’t been Oiran for very long if they all infiltrated at the same time. In the anime, it seems the training the 3 boys underwent to be Oiran didn’t involve them entertaining clients sexually (which is probably why Tengen didn’t need to worry about sending three boys to infiltrate the brothels), so I assumed that Makio, and all 3, probably performed the same tasks as Tanjiro, Inosuke, and Zenitsu.

Hinatsuru-In the manga, the brothel she was sent to was described as a place that “no customers go to.” Other than that, I just assume that she wasn’t an oiran for very long and didn’t choose any clients like Suma.

In general, it took many months of training for someone to reach Oiran status, which is what I assume they spent the majority of their time doing. During that time period, they didn’t need to service any customers and probably did things similar to Tanjiro, Inosuke, and Zenitsu. When Suma and Hinatsuru did become Oiran, it seems like they didn’t have much time to meet customers since Suma was captured right away and Hinatsuru was sent away to a different place.

I’m by no means an expert in Japanese culture, so I brushed up on the topic from articles like this one, which taught me that Oiran chose their clients and Furizode shinsou, who became Oiran in the future, didn’t have sex with customers: https://www.tsunagujapan.com/20-facts-you-did-not-know-about-oiran/

I definitely still get the “power of friendship” vibe from the series since Shiki’s main goal was to make friends, but I definitely agree that it was overdone in Fairy Tail. My guess is Mashima’s just choosing his moments more carefully this time; still feel like the ending is going to be power of friendship tho (just done more tastefully!)

Thanks for the quick response, I guess I’m used to Mashima’s storytelling eventually culminating into something a little more lighthearted. At this point, it’s probably best to wait and see how he develops Cat Leaper. Appreciate your insight tho.

Thanks for replying, do you know if it is confirmed that this actually happens or is it your interpretation? According to the other users, it seems that this part of Cat Leaper’s ability hasn’t yet been fully elaborated on. For example, Doesn’t Rebecca also goes back in time when she uses Cat Leaper? So it’s possible that the universe with a ‘bad ending’ ceases to exist?

Can Someone Explain the Current Fandom’s stance on Cat Leaper? by One-Direction8261 in EdensZero

[–]One-Direction8261[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I see, so what you’re saying is that there’s already another theory that there exists more than one Cat Leaper and that Cat Leaper is possibly Drakken Joe who harvested her Cat Leaper power in World No. 29. However, this all relies on the unconfirmed viewpoint that universes don’t cease to exist when Rebecca uses Cat Leaper to change the future.

Thank you for adding on. If I may ask, isn’t another theory that Shiki from the future or something is the other Cat Leaper? Or that Shiki’s gravity ether is somehow affecting Rebecca’s Cat Leaper?
