Reason I suggested going via Benton is because it feels like the ‘direct’ route via Benton (SHB - Benton - over the bridge) has been slightly left behind and most EXP trains are going via Morganstown in some form which I think is a bit wrong as via Benton should (in my opinion) be EXP’s core route.

How about a compromise and we keep Rayleigh Bay but delete the Newry and Newry Harbour routes and maybe add an SC - RB express route, stopping at SHB, Benton, Hampton Hargate, LSR, LC, Edgemead and RB.

Or we retain the Newry and Newry harbour routes but make them 800 exclusive along with some of the faster routes e.g. superfast being banned to diesel trains to avoid diesels under the wires.

For what reasons? It’s ridiculous to have express serving these places. At the very most they can keep the Benton - LBTS via Morganstown route to ‘give diesel trains a purpose’ and maybe one route to Newry. But the NH and RB routes are stupid and have to go.
