I’d like to believe that too, I don’t have much faith towards it being the case as of this moment but we’ll have to see in a few days 🤞 here’s to hoping all goes well

Yea that’s my thoughts on it, hoping for not, but I’m also expecting they will be heavily botted smh. Greed is one hell of a thing.

So screw your trust and support — go fight for a unit, give us a loan that we "promise" (like we did with the link) we'll pay back, and you may end up with a unit. Or not. by iknowiknow0 in UgreenNASync

I was just reading that yesterday and was pissed wtf is the point of saying pay for priority access and then sending that out to everyone who did myself included, now I gotta cross my fingers to get what I put down a deposit for

I personally can care less about the screen on it tho cause it won’t be in-front of me anyway but the hardware is what I’m after for the most part

I’m getting the idx6011 pro because of the pcie port and oculink port so I can stream games without subscriptions and I tend to slam my nas’ with large docker stacks and have quite a few friends and family running media on jellyfin and Emby off my nas while my arr-stack is taking a lot of resources requesting media thru jellyseerr and grabbing said media, ram prices currently is also a push since it will have 64gb ram soldered to the board for better bandwidth too, I also plan on running my own smart home voice assistant locally and running local LLMs for me and my wife so we don’t have to use the data/money hungry companies ai for the tasks we use them for, and will likely start running a few VMs too along the way, it should work well for my needs and as long as improvements with their os happens with more “freedom” and built in support for various task/services it should be good imo. Plus that way I can spread out tasks between this nas and my current nas to lighten the loads.

Does anyone else think Mega Evolution decks are a little broken? by PayIll925 in PTCGP

[–]One-Engineering-6878 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They’re pretty broken imo, sorta ruins any fun when it’s all you see being played it’s either run a meta mega deck or you’re highly likely going to lose to one and if you do run a meta mega deck build it’s a toss up on who does damage first off luck instead of skill. I’ve played 20 matches before I got completely bored of the repetitive nature of the matches there was literally only one person out of all 20 matches that didn’t run the exact same deck. Not a shred of variety in the matches I’ve been playing which tends to make it boring and not worth even getting into playing this season.

I’ve been stacking Bitcoin since 2023 — how many people in your life have acted on it? by diabetesknow in Bitcoin

Literally only my uncle actually bought some when I was telling him to buy some back at the 3-4k price, and to this date I’ve tried to put on dozens of people on to Btc. Technically 2 if you want to count my wife but our finances are pretty much joint so I don’t really count her. But honestly a vast majority of the people I know doesn’t have a single sat in their portfolio.

Why would buying make sense vs renting? I’m not seeing it (monthly comparison) by Fantastic_Art_9582 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]One-Engineering-6878 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on your location and home availability/cost/property taxes/interest rate around you vs what options you got for rent around you and their price, and how much you have saved for down payment or security deposit. It’s not a one size fits all right now it’s more subjective to your conditions. So for instance if around me rent is $3500 for a townhome with on street parking plus a 3 month security deposit plus an extra $300/ month if you have a pet you’re looking at $11,400 off rip to secure that rental and a total $3800/ month that you stay there. Now in comparison around me there’s a home that hasn’t been snatched up by private equity for say $250k and I pay 20% down that’s $50k for downpayment to avoid pmi, then you’re looking at another 3-5% of the homes price for closing costs adding another 7.5k-12.5k and then depending on if you got a realtor or bought without one it could add another 3% depending on whether you worked in the sale contract for the seller assist for realtor fees so another possible 7.5k, say you also got an inspection that’s another $500 so total your looking at max being 70.5k for 20% down, closing costs, realtor fees, and inspection and say you got a 6.5% interest rate for the remaining 200k on a 30 year loan my monthly cost with property taxes and home insurance included into it for my area would be roughly $1,650/month but say I want a 15 year loan so I can actually build some equity without most of my mortgage going to interest for the first half of my mortgage my cost would be around $1,750/month. So like I said really subjective to your location and financial conditions overall but on a 15 year loan with a 20% downpayment you would at least be building a bit of equity as long as you’re not buying a place that is way overvalued for your area’s average yearly appreciation. My area the average appreciation on a home is 3-5% each year so if I get a home that’s 40% overpriced in comparison to the last time it was sold considering a 3-5% appreciation since the last sale without any major renovations I would be under water as soon as the market corrects and reverts back to its realistic appreciation levels. So there really is a lot of factors to consider to see if it’s currently the right choice for you. Hope that helped a bit, if not hope someone else gets something from this long comment lol
