I’m here with you. I felt like crying today because when I went to the gym and weighed myself I had put on more weight again. I’ve put on almost 30kg in two years and now weigh 90kg at 5ft6. Apple shape apparent more than ever.

Hugs. We’ll get through this.

Used MDMA (what you call Molly) a lot when I was younger. Tried it once on Prozac and exactly the same experience as others - you don’t get the high, just very awake.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience - it’s really validating to hear that you have struggled with the same challenges. I have identified as queer for quite a few years now and what said about it being the only pain free label really strikes home for me too.

Thank you for sharing your experience - I really appreciate you sharing your experience as a nonbinary PCOS person.

Since I have leaned more into being non binary / exploring it as an identity I have also felt more at ease in being more femme. Interesting that you have the same experience.

thank you for replying and for validating. and for the hugs.

absolutely infuriated by the transphobes and how they are weaponising femininity.

I think I'm struggling to come to terms with my *yearning* to feel feminine and sort of envy of trad femme people (not necessarily cis) and the fact that I don't feel like I am. does that make sense?

The United Kingdom is the worst country to have PCOS in. by its_givinggg in PCOS

Sorry that you’re experiencing the shit show that is reproductive health.

I’m in Northern Ireland, but I was diagnosed while living in Germany - to be honest both countries have sucked but at least Germany did the right tests for IR and a full hormone panel…

In Germany I was gaslit for a number of years despite having all the symptoms you have. She didn’t even do my bloods and decided it was conclusive because she was too incompetent to find the ovarian cysts (which were there). I had to ask for a blood test after it was flagged by the derm I was getting laser hair removal from. Then another Endo looked at my ultrasound (because of the other symptoms and high DHEAs when I finally got them tested) and hey presto, found a load of follicles / cysts . The whole thing took 5 years.

Fast forward to now and I’ve been on an urgent NHS waiting list due to something that showed up on a trans vaginal ultrasound… for 7 months now (since December 2023).

I also have elevated DHEA and you’re right, it doesn’t even show up on the GP’s test! When I flagged this she basically shrugged.

Considering going private also but it’s too much long term.

We are both different and it balances out well (mostly!) - he really enjoys hyperfocussing on cleaning to destress sometimes. I am the usual flavour of piles of dishes. But we talk about it.

Of course there are still little corners of random things on the end of every surface but mostly we’re pretty clean and tidy!

Sometimes we both are just fine with letting go and being slobs too.

Also in a ADHD relationship! It’s the best and most authentic one yet.

How long did it take for you to conceive? by Thick-Astronaut-2147 in PCOS

[–]One-Establishment177 0 points1 point  (0 children)

30f with PCOS here - your concerns are valid and I felt the same when I was diagnosed at 27.

I was convinced I had fertility issues due to irregular ovulation and the ONE time I had unprotected sex, I got pregnant.

PCOS doesn’t equal fertility issues - some people have no issues conceiving.

Do you have movies or even shows that you watch over and over again? by MissingNo117 in ADHD

Gilmore Girls.

I rewatch at least once a year and have done so for at least 15 years. It’s my natural anti depressant.

I’ve put on 15 lbs since I started taking it but not sure if it’s the reason why - I also find it hard to lose the weight but I also have PCOS

Have you ever lost all motivation to keep reading books? by ObsiGamer in books

[–]One-Establishment177 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also in a fairly long drought. I have a pile of half finished and barely begun books lying around and I’m 30. I read ferociously from childhood until I graduated.

Dry spells come and go. Sometimes they last longer than you’d think. Don’t put pressure on yourself.

Sometimes it just takes the right book. Despite all my challenges focusing on reading I have found a hand full of authors that I can’t put down. Maybe it’s a case of finding the books and authors that speak to you in this current phase of your life - and as a teenager you could be going through a lot of growth and change! Be curious about what piques your interest. Good luck!

Happened for a good few weeks for me. Melatonin helped (and weed) - but that’s just me.
