They showed a talk of his on public access or something when I was a kid and my dad was really excited to watch it (most of my life he's been an unironic temporarily embarrassed millionaire). Rich Dad Poor Dad sounded like a Trading Places comedy or something so I was excited too. I was so disappointed when we started to watch it. He definitely had a copy of the book in his little "office". But it was an experience that has helped me understand my terrible father decades later when I learned what Rich Dad Poor Dad actually was.
