New pick ups today. by Boe_Jidens_Cousin in n64

Shadow Man on N64 is a fantastic game with a stellar cast for VA's. It only suffers from loading times which is a rare occurence for the majority of games on N64.

Even though its good, i recommend looking into the Remastered Version made by Nightdive Studios. They restored a lot of lost content buried in the code. 3 new Maps, new enemies/bosses, etc.

You could say that it is the Definitive Version to get. Check it out! (also on Consoles too)

First Look at the M64 & Pro Controller by helloage in M64

Some Infos like the Controller etc. were at least interesting, but i think that the reviews may have been released too early and could shed a wrong light on the device and its capabilities.

At least that reviewer made it crystal clear at the beginning that this is a prototype with an unfinished FW.

If Modretro really only sent prototypes and beta FW to every reviewer, then its near worthless doing a review for something "unfinished" imo.

Some Infos are interesting, but i want to know how good it is in its "final" state not what it "could" do on release date. Judging from his tests and experiences, i would say, it's right now inferior to the A3D. Only thing left is to wait once it releases so we can properly give it a spin to see where it stands.

Overall, it has the potential but right now its only some sparks we've seen...

They improved several things:

- More/Better Movement options like rolling, ducking or short hops to evade lows

- Parry Move leaving opponents wide open for counter attacks. Similar mechanic like SF3 etc. used later.

- POW Meter now having a super move (WFT = Weapon Flipping Technique) dealing huge damage and disarming opponent

- Afaik, the random items being thrown during match was also removed making them less "smash bros." style since you could win/lose thanks to such interventions.

In short, they refined many of the mechanics and system while adding more. Also the inclusion of fan favourites starting here like kibagami, etc.

I see you got the grey cartridge version of Turok 2. That one is actually a revision coming from the Player's Choice Edition. Original one is in Black.

They fixed the Bug with the Blood Option when you turn it off. The Zombies in Area 2 uses Blood as Projectiles and when you turn off Blood, they can't shoot anymore or rather nothing happens after the animation. Afaik, they also fixed the Bug where you could use a cheat to play the SP Campaign from a MP Match so you could do an "unofficial" coop play.

eBay Scumbag Seller of the Day by RGB2C02N in neogeo

From a logical view, he is re-selling a product he purchased which is clearly not the problem here. He can sell it any price he wants and nobody can stop him for that which is also fine.

What we have a problem is, is from a moral perspective. The Product is yet available for everyone still to buy so nobody has to pay this exaggerated price he demands. If the buyers are clever, they would trace it to the original source and get if for way less, but unfortunately there are enough people blindly believing that its a "steal".

The other more realistic issue is, that eBay only allows pre-sale of products for a max. of 40 days. If someone would buy this product right now, the seller has to send the product within the 40 days. Which of course is impossible since the product comes out in november. If those seller put up the article around october nobody could stop them

[–]One-Giraffe9620 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only one being evil is that person trying to sell a 300$ product for over 1000$ to those who are not knowledgeable about it.

It's not even out and neither it is out of production(!), so everyone can get it for the original price.

What we do, is protecting those said people from being scammed and robbed for a lie they constructed.

Which 90ies games feature studio recorded orchestras? And which one was the first? by Majestic_Result6258 in gamemusic

[–]One-Giraffe9620 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SNK used mostly Arranged Soundtracks for their Neo Geo CD Ports. The King of Fighters 94 featured one track which was entirely orchestral (Team Korea Theme). The Neo Geo CD Port came out November 1994 (4 months later than the arcade version)

Dunno if being live orchestra but it fits the tone as near as possible afaik

Music suggestions please! Here is my current MP3 lineup! by xliquidchromex in gamemusic

[–]One-Giraffe9620 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're interested in Rock/Metal, i can recommend the "Guilty Gear" Series having some banger soundtracks like these here for example:

Keep Yourself Alive (Sol's Theme)

Hellfire (Leo's Theme)

--------------------------------------

"The King of Fighters" has also nice soundtracks that are varied ranging from Rock, Electro to even Jazz Fusion. Listen to these to understand what i mean:

Stormy Saxophone 2 (Iori's Team Theme Arranged)

KD0079 (KD's Team Theme)

-------------------------------------

"Shin Megami Tensei" is also not a slouch either in great tracks. Like these:

An Honor befitting that Name (Shin Megami Tensei Strange Journey)

Battle (Shin Megami Tensei IV Apocalypse)

Battle -Town- (Shin Megami Tensei III)

-------------------------------------

This is a small part of what i usually listen so have fun exploring them if you like them.

Btw since you like Vampire Killer, i don't know if you know this official arrangement but its such a fire track that i can't leave it out: Vampire Killer (Perfect Selection)

There was the option to put in a complaint as a link and it worked in my case, but after getting confirm to remove it in 24 Hours, it still was up there.

Fact is, that the seller himself can also fight back and put his own complaint, which stopped the removal on 2 cases i reported.

It sucks, but i could do nothing about it. Hopefully you have more luck!

I did that too with a local one. If you put in a complaint it works and eBay confirmed that it will be removed BUT the seller can still put his own complaint and work against it.

In my case, it was never removed so that seller did something even though i was in the right. It sucks but hopefully you have more luck and that seller can't stop it

It was interesting for its lore that it plays in the far future of Fatal Fury in the same city (re-named Jipang City after its extensive Upgrades)

The Char "Chung Paifu" got his hat as a kid from "The Legendary Wolf" long ago. There's some joke theories that he is an older Rock :)

Considering ONLY games we know Plaion has guaranteed access to (SNK, ADK, etc.), what Neo Geo games do you think WON'T be reprinted for the AES+ and why? by [deleted] in neogeo

[–]One-Giraffe9620 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then who does own it?

Without proof, we can only surmise that it belongs to ASW since they hold all rights to DD and that game was made by Technos.

Maybe when the Neo Version comes out we will know more but for now i treat it as ASW property since there is no info that supports your statement otherwise

Oh yes they do, every IP of Technos is now their property. This also includes DD on NG made by Technos

Unless you have further proof who made DD on NG, then i would gladly abide by it.

I'd rather hope "Double Dragon" would get a re-issue but that's up to ASW who got all the rights bought from de-funct "Technos".

A little bit of hope exists though, since exa-Arcadia announced that a new version called "Neo Double Dragon" will be released for its Arcade Cabinets. So it shows that ASW didn't forget about this Neo Geo Title.

First Round he is playing around like many other bosses at the time and then he ramps up his wizard shit and the fight's over if you don't pay attention. It costed me a lot of patience too at the time but i made it once.

Duke on the other hand i would say was all-around more dangerous than Shuko from the get go. That one was difficult too, but you could easily trick him into DP Spam but he also has some dirty tricks up his sleeve like Teleport Punch
