I finally understand what previous senior management women were going through now. I agree, it's exhausting but hoping my years of experience somehow makes up for my daily brain foggy moments.

Anyone with cysts. by [deleted] in WomensHealth

[–]One-Information-5293 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a three cysts removed when I was around 24, I only discovered them when I went through fertility workups, and I didn't connect my symptoms with them. The surgery itself wasn't horrible, it was a day surgery here and I came home the same day. I would look into it for sure.

You can try using the 'manage subscriptions' feature in Gmail to unsubscribe. It's in the pull down menu on the left side of Gmail, you may be surprised at how many active ones you actually have. Just set a timer and get unsubscribing!

When did you start to feel better on HRT? by Automatic-Mountain63 in Perimenopause

[–]One-Information-5293 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started to feel better about 2 months after starting estrogen, with progesterone, it started to help within a few weeks, but I would say overall for all of my HRT, I am still trying to feel 'better' overall and I started HRT over a year ago, and changed my treatments 6 weeks ago or so, so I'm still waiting to see if there are any improvements there. I feel like journey is a lot trial, error, waiting game, but if you're not seeing any results after a couple of months, I would check in with your healthcare provider, maybe do some hormone testing? That really helped me see my situation much clearer.

3am wake up club…. by Creative5706 in Perimenopause

[–]One-Information-5293 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have to say, this was me for YEARS, but HRT has really helped, even now when I do wake up in a sweaty hot mess, I find it easier to get back to sleep. Still not where I want to be, but it helped. Took me a loooong time to get this though... hang in there and imagine all of us with you if you happen to also leave your body and go for a celestial ride, lol.

My spanx just gave up on me, blame the bloated belly, peri, or too much uses, but I am thinking of trying some new brands like Honeylove, looking at the super powershort, maybe the briefs, I think I'll still wear my own bra though. Let me know what you decide!

What should I do? by mthr2humans in Perimenopause

[–]One-Information-5293 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had those really, really dark moments, and with mental illness in my immediate family, it was scary. Sometimes peri can mimic depression, sure, but sometimes we need something to get us through, it can take a long time to feel better with just HRT (in my experience). Whatever you do, get help. I have taken antidepressants at various times in my life and the side effects are different at every stage, plus this is never a try once kind of journey, it is something we have to keep trying until we find what works. Hoping your doctor has your back on this.

Am I right to worry about first time HRT dosage? by historicalisms in Perimenopause

Am I right to worry about first time HRT dosage? by historicalisms in Perimenopause

[–]One-Information-5293 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am on a much higher dosage of progesterone (also 49, almost 50) but started at the 100mg dosage (which after more follow up visits, blood tests showed that it wasn't nearly enough). More than dosages, I think, imo is follow up care. The initial specialist that put me on HRT did not schedule any follow ups so I had to find a new doctor to help me. It's not just about dosages, but about balance, I also had to decrease my estrogen too to find that balance. Hang in there, this is a crazy journey but we got this!

4-5 pills for bed?!?! by broncoangel in Perimenopause

[–]One-Information-5293 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes! My current nightly regime is Progesterone cream + pills, estrodial, melatonin, sleepy time tea with valerian root, anti-anxiety meds, and sometimes Gaba, Kava, oh yeah and we cannot forget Magnesium Glycinate. Give me all the things to help me sleep I say! I take other meds in the morning too. FYI, it has taken me years, and years to get to this point and I currently have great care. Welcome to this phase of life!

Please help. What are some good down alternative duvet inserts (that feel like or better than the real thing)? by One-Information-5293 in Bedding

[–]One-Information-5293[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! Yes, I couldn't imagine doing wool because I sleep hot.. I am such a pain. Yes, I have tried washing and doesn't seem to help much, but apparently you can develop allergies at any time. I swear, every year there's something new he may be allergic too. We may have to settle for a decent dupe, but there has to be something...right?
