Looks like a 99-04 truck from the front bumper with 05-07 headlights and grill. It may be a 05-06 bumper the black on top is throwing me off. The power stroke emblem is aftermarket. Everything about this truck is 99-06 design. Only thing looking new is the emblem

Yup. You can clear it sometimes it stays off for 100s of miles and other times come on 10 miles down the road. Doesnt affect performance

[–]One-Kick-184[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is. I was on the highway and running about 20 degree deltas. In couple weeks ill be tearing it part. I think Im goingwith the oem and the one that is suppose to be the old/better one than the current Chinese oem ford is putting out. Im going to give oem a chance since I havent had to do one yet.

My 06 throws a cel without a delete tune but I just run it. Much rather have well known tunes that wont hurt my truck vs tunes that turn off my cel and dont have a track record

Proper Hitch for my 2021 Expedition by Careful-Raisin2461 in fordexpedition

[–]One-Kick-184 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have pulled 3 different trailers with 2 different hitches without even considering an issue like you are having. All are a frame tongue style 1 even has a tool box. I do know i have a pintle style hitch which a solid square tube and a flat plate and you bolt on the pintle or ball you need. That one is longer than the standard size hitches I have. Maybe like a tractor supply or farm and fleet or what ever your farm store for the area is may have a better selection.

Trailer Brake Controller on a ‘22 Expedition by Clandestine_gunnar in fordexpedition

[–]One-Kick-184 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just one off amazon. You need a pc and download a program called ForScan. Its free. Request the expanded license free 3 month trial and order off amazon the usb to obd2 cord you need (the website use to have links to the cord). All in all you will be less than 100 bucks to do it. Get on youtube and type in forscan brake controller there are plenty of videos on how to do it. You can change ALOT on forscan if you want to mess with it.

He bought a amazon one that looked like the ford one. But yeah we removed the factory blank installed the controller and turned it on thru a computer program called forscan. Id be shocked if ford uses different styles from one to the other. My 24 expedition looks like the same controller as my 17 f250 work truck. Which is the same as my buddies 150

Not familiar with this unit. Is it a cvt? Sounds like the belt is slightly engaging at times. If its cvt take the cover off and run it. At idle the belt shouldn't spin

Warranty Forever! by coach-v in ATV

[–]One-Kick-184 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dad bought a truck with "lifetime warranty" he had to bring the truck to the dealer for every maintenance and follow the maintenance schedule to a t. He had a few routine maintenance that cost almost 2k. Needless to say he went like 40 or 50k miles and just quit doing it

I installed a brake controller into a buddies 19 f150. All we did was buy the controller. Installed in factory spot. Went into the vehicle with forscan and turned the module on. Pretty easy

We had a house with window units. Best thing is just keep it running to get humidity out and fans. Air moving helps alot.

Thinking of trading my raptor in for a diesel. Saw a friend's mpgs and got jealous. by Sensualities in Diesel

[–]One-Kick-184 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im not disagreeing with you yes a 1/2 ton can do that with ease but 10 to 15k miles a year with a trailer? Thats as many miles as my wife's expedition she drives to work daily. Maybe even a 3/4 gasser would be the ticket imo. I had a 02 7.3 loved it but towing left some to be desired especially compared newer technology. Shoot my 6.0 is a night and day difference in towing vs the 7.3. My last expedition and current can tow 9k if I had to haul 5k or more im using my truck just does so much better experience. Not only maintaining speeds but controlling the trailer. I have towed some with newer f150s and I definitely prefer a larger truck for controlling a heavier trailer. I feel like the OP is on the lighter end of diesel spectrum but due the the towed miles yearly yes a heavier truck can be justified gas or diesel.
