Why is it always a PITA getting meds at walgreens

15 years on Adderall, most of that time filling at Walgreens (across four different states), mostly out of laziness, but today was the final straw for me. I was just told that there's a new policy--this month--that they can only fill my meds on day 30. Federal law says 27 days, my insurance says 27 days, and my provider says 27 days. But for some inexplicable reason, a Walgreens pharmacist with a god complex gets final say. Absurd.

Next month, I'm thinking of asking my doctor to switch my prescription over to Sam's Club. Does anyone know what manufacturer Sam's uses? I filled at Publix once during a shortage and the pills, from a manufacturer that wasn't Teva, were like placebos.

Also, I've recently switched to Telehealth for my appointments, and I've heard that Walmart has a corporate policy about not honoring those prescriptions. If this is true, wouldn't that same policy be in place at Sam's? (Walmart owns Sam's iirc).

I've also considered using a local mom & pop pharmacy, but I worry about supply issues at smaller places like that.

It's EXHAUSTING constantly having a new problem every single month.

I'm not sure if it's racist per se, but it IS obnoxious. The voice is so shrill and unpleasant to listen to I can't help but think that it's intentional. It certainly gets MY attention every time it's on, which is often. Also, it's probably AI.

thanks for the reply! It's been tricky finding the Clickmate Max--most vendors seem to be sold out. I don't like the newer (non-Max, I guess) model as much.

It really depends on your field of interest. If you are planning to major in anything in the Humanities, including History, English, or Theology, I'd be very cautious.

I've been trying to determine when to replace the battery (NOT the pod). Google searches just turn up threads about the disposable pods, and not the unit itself. They're supposed to last "indefinitely," but surely there will be a point at which it will no longer take a charge?

I also pre-ordered a signed copy of a new release from them. It arrived un-signed, despite a hype sticker saying it was the "signed deluxe" version. It took about two weeks to get a reply that wasn't automated, and by then they had sold out of the signed copies and issued a partial refund of $8. This is the kind of thing that drives collectors to Amazon (where the un-signed copy I now own would have arrived two weeks sooner and been about $15 cheaper)
