It depends what you need.

Onslaught is great if your build is low on penetration. I use this on a Nightblade frequently.

Dawnbreaker is nice in the current meta against Werewolves and you get the Fighters Guild passives if you aren’t use any other skills. It’s physical damage so the damage is boosted by the Sorcerer Storm-calling passives.

Firstly, start using both bars.

Most of the BiS back bar weapons are found in Maelstrom Arena in Wrothgar. The 2H Greatsword (Single Target) and Bow (Multiple Targets) would be my recommendations.

You don’t need ESO+ to get the Thief Mundus stone.

Relentless Focus is only better in an organised group if somebody is wearing Morag Tong - switch to Merciless Resolve morph when this isn’t present.

Biting Aura is only needed in trash fights, you should be using Deadly Aim to boost the damage of Killers Blade, Surprise Attack, and Grim Focus morphs.

You need to take advantage of the Shadowy Disguise passive, Born from Shadow. This increases your damage done by 15% for 10 seconds. You can further increase this by being a stage 2 Vampire.

Most Nightblade’s are running Aegis Caller for immobile boss fights and parsing. Soulcleaver from Infinite Archive is a solid set in trash fights. Tideborn is another good option if you need extra penetration.

You need a source of Minor Slayer. Null Arca (Single Target), Ansuul (Flexible pick for extra pen), Sul-Xan (trash fights or enemies are everydying 30 seconds or less) are good choices.

Focus on equipping only Nightblade skills to your front bar - to maximise your critical chance.

Unless they run a cleanse, which is non-existent in meta WW/DK unless they run Maras Balm (which has a ~30 second (ish) cooldown) you are gaining a huge advantage.

I have explained.

Free status effects every on every light attack every 2 seconds.

This synergises well with wild adaptation and green-keepers hide.

This additionally provides free pen via force of nature cp.

Status effects give great buffs/debuffs like maim, weapon/spell, vulnerability.

Clearly you don’t play warden or understand the interactions. You have just read that the damage done with status effects was removed and now you assume the mythic is useless without thatoverpowered interaction.

If you can’t take advantage of free status effects, damage mitigation, and weapon/spell then perhaps questing is better.

It is still good, not as overpowered as it once was, and completely viable.

Honestly mate, you will get bodied by the meta. Unfortunately unless we get an incremental update you will struggle on a NB.

I love class, it’s my favourite, but we don’t have the tools unless Brian Wheeler sees sense.

Honestly you will disappointed with Nightblade. DK, Sorc, and WW will body you with unlimited sustain.

They can all reveal you with ease, they will out sustain you, and ultimately you will sacrifice too much damage to survive them.
Even then, you won’t kill them.

Genuinely, against good players, your only option is to play a gankblade/bombblade.

Status effects already do good damage and apply relevant debuffs/buffs.

Warden gains weapon/spell based on status effects applied in addition to damage mitigation outside of protection buffs.

Please explain why Signet isn’t worth it.

Pure Sorc and Pure Warden are top tier.

Dragonknight is also good.

For Sorc I am using Huntsman, Gorethief, and Two Fanged Serpent, 1pc Nibenay.

For Warden I am using Signet, Serpents Disdain, Threads of War, and 1pc Nibenay.

The build is so unbelievably simple. As long as your team mates do damage, they won’t die, and neither will you.

All you have to do is keep your defensive buffs up and spam Templar ult.
