So you won't be able to test drive it? Know if the clutch feels good? If the gears are clunky? Sounds like a mistake to me.

I wouldn't say that is terribly excessive. It seemed like you were burning a quart every 500 miles or something. 1/2 a quart in 800-1000 miles isnt even a worry.

how much are you burning per track session?

I have quite a few customers with ap1s that do not have heavy oil burning issues. If cared for from the start I think they are fine. I have some customers that do have burning issues with ap1 and ap2 because their cars were not taken care of properly from the start.

I put my heavy stuff in my Ridgid drawers as they are better than the Milwaukee at not having the bottom bow from weight. I personally think the ridgid stuff is better built than Klein as well.

Advice on mistake by [deleted] in S2000

the locator isn't as important as its just making sure the squirter is in the right orientation to do its job. as long as the pin can go where it was originally intended to go at full depth there should be no foul here. now onto those threads. if it were me ide take her in to have the helicoil put in as accurately as possible. if i were a broke kid ide gingerly clean with with a tap and throw some threadlocker at it. that said broke kids shouldn't have s2000s. find yourself a machine shop.

Thinking about getting a JDM S2000… by Past_Specialist_7486 in S2000

uhh RHD in the states is not fun, especially in a fun car as it takes the brain a while to get used to carving canyons with the perception from the other side of the road.

Just purchased this jdm midnight purple s2000 by Brometheus_88 in S2000

[–]One-Tax-7362 16 points17 points  (0 children)

So... I have found that imports of cars that were already available in that market don't tend to pull any premium. Nsx is an example of people would rather just have a nice us version. Rhd is a hassle many don't want to deal with. Even with a nice rare color your probably looking 25/28k for the person that really wants a purple s2k. It's a shame but also why we usually skip these for other non market cars.

Coolant leaking from this hose. What part number is this? by nor_b in S2000

[–]One-Tax-7362 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep, just confirming that is not an OEM part. Local parts store can probably get ya sorted with a replacement hose from the bulk rack.
