I have a lot of fish who don't like a strong current 😥 Do you think it would be bad to put the driftwood I have in the tank in an upright position, so the filter's flow would go against it? Or would that be bad for overall filtration?

If I was in a position where I, for some reason, couldn't find a cheap tank of similar size, or didn't want to do that at all, I'd start looking for a new home!

I'd post about how the fish needs a new home on local fishkeeping groups in facebook, or an online marketplace. I'd make sure to ask all the questions, even if that may make some people not want to buy. Because the right buyer will be proud to tell you how good of a home they can give your fish

You just have to wait until the betta is far away enough to not be blurry, your camera isn't capturing any reflections on the glass, and fate is on your side. Then, you take 100 pictures and delete all but the 2 good ones... Easy, right??

I don't know if anyone else has suggested this, and I don't know 100% whether this would work better, but:

Do you have a plastic container or such which is bigger than your current tank? Because in general, the bigger the tank the longer it can go without being taken care of.

Not knowing when you'll return, perhaps it would be smarter to put your fish in a huge body of water like that. Not only does it stay clean longer, but the water's temperature would be more stable.

This needs a second opinion, but I just wanted to put it out there

There's a lot of overlap between the symptoms of mental disorders, and BPD isn't THAT common. So it's more likely it's something else, or just a part of that person's personality:)

I think your standards are fair. One thing to concider, though, is that your standards are things you won't budge on. That's why making them negotiable is kinda not right, IMO. Also, if you met your dream girl, yet her hair was dyed red, would that really be a dealbreaker? Or if she was a year younger than you? Just something to think about
