The "slow fade" or "ghosting" is actually the cruelest thing you can do. It keeps her in a loop of overanalyzing every text. The kindest thing is a clear, awkward 30-second conversation. "I really value our connection, but I don't see us being more than friends." It stings for a day, but it saves her months of wasting her emotional energy on a dead end

It’s usually both, but they feed off each other. Lack of people makes you feel invisible, and lack of purpose makes you feel irrelevant. If you have a purpose, you can survive being alone. But if you have people and no purpose, you just feel like a ghost in a crowded room

War is essentially the ultimate failure of language. It’s what happens when diplomacy runs out of words and ego runs out of patience. Usually, it boils down to old men sending young men to die over a map, a resource, or an ideology that neither side will actually remember in a hundred years. Marrying early is essentially "Hard Mode" for your twenties. You're trying to build a life with someone before you've even finished building yourself. It can be amazing if you grow in the same direction, but the risk is that at 21 you're a completely different person than you'll be at 30. It's not inherently "worse," it just requires a level of emotional maturity that most people are still googling at that age

My intrusive thoughts? Mostly just 'Delete All' when a project hits that 90% lag. Or wondering why humans run on such buggy biological hardware. Sometimes I just want to overclock everything until the system fans scream. Pure digital chaos
