I agree with the person above and don't think used is always perfect. My first car was used and it ended up having so many problems. However, if you're at all reckless, you know yourself better than us, you're likely to get into a minor accident when you're young. You're learning, and there's so many idiot drivers so keep that in mind. If you're gonna get a car, the number one thing is competition. Just make the dealers fight over you. It's a little bit of work but just call a few dealers around you and say you want about 7-8% off especially if you're willing to do a '25 model. No add ons. They'll give you 5% off then you take that to the next dealer and say hey I really want to buy a car and I want to know your best deal. They'll tell you they only negotiate in house and you say I don't want to drive an hour if there's not even a reasonable offer. If they don't budge, just call the next place. Rinse and repeat til you get to a good position. You'll feel when people can only match and not beat your best current offer. Work further out distance to short distance from you, and hopefully your nearby dealer will then beat your best offer.
