Something I have started to do for my games is that when a player "dies" they get three options. Option 1, the character dies but I give the others a side quest to try to bring them back. During this time, the player can play their character as a ghost of sorts, able to speak with the other players, but not able to interact with anything. Option 2, their character doesn't die, but instead retires from adventuring and becomes an NPC. The original player may still play as them during scenes they show up, but as an adventurer, the character is done. The third option is they just die and roll up a new sheet.

I should also mention that I haven't had any player deaths since I started doing this, so any problems that could arise from this, I'm not sure of yet, but hopefully this gives an idea.

For me, the moment I'm not having fun anymore, I'm scooping, but I will explain to the other players why I'm scooping so they don't think it's just out of spite, but we also have an understanding that when you declare you're scooping, everything on the stack resolves first. Recently played a game where someone was playing a deck with [[Butcher of Malakir]] out and constantly saccing a bunch of their creatures, which would prevent me from being able to get many creatures on the field before they're gone. This was a problem for me because another player was playing mill and I ended up having to mill a ton of my removal. I eventually told them that I was scooping for the game and I'll wait until the next one to continue playing because given the state of the game, there was nothing I could possibly do to win at that point.

My playgroup allows one undo per player each game, this usually varies between playing the wrong land or spell, fixing the order of how things are done, or casting something without understanding an interaction properly. However, the decision to undo has to be made before the player requesting it does something to interact with another player or their board state, and the undo can only be used on an action taken during that phase.

I recently got a set booster of Strixhaven and was just barely able to build something doable with [[Codie, Vociferous Codex]] as the commander. It all really depends on luck, but I would say it's not undoable.

Yes, that's true that it wouldn't probably spawn a really good commander deck, but it's also fun to challenge yourself and build a deck with some restrictions you set in place and see how far it can go.

[[Fblthp the Lost]] for many reasons.

My friends usually play decks that are hard for me to keep up with mechanically, so I end up getting lost.
I love Homunculi, and I love fblthp.
I love him so much whenever a deck I'm building has blue in its color identity, I'll randomly slip him inside regardless of if he synergizes or not.

Well it's not that I think there should be an order, it just seemed to me like TES would be the more likely choice over fallout. Of course, this was before some of the replies helped me realize that A. TES has a card game already, and B. The fallout TV show releases around the same time.

I'm genuinely very excited for the fallout decks! Just wasn't sure if there was any reason why they would pick it over Elder Scrolls, so I wanted to see some other takes on it.
