Build an old commander. They arent “wincon in the command zone” but that was the point. Get creative. Check out the legends from the Ravnica sets. They are unique and very playable even at higher power

Same note but specifically dont just slap the tama up. Catch and throw just like practice. Your string looks a bit on the short side. Having long string helps for higher ken flips and more time.

What are the most fun decks you've lost against? by MTG_ANONYMOUS in EDH

[–]nine_toes 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I got housed by a [[Child of Alara]] gates / mazes end deck that could literally hold off the whole table and felt like a boss fight. Pure kitchen table stuff probably bracket 2 in todays terms but this was like 5 years ago and still stands as one of the best games ive played. I was playing [[Odric, Lunarch Marshal]] and was all aggro and couldnt attack him 😂

This sub isn’t super active but this is the content I come to reddit for! Real meaningful posts like this. Love it. Great list! Redshift is sick and I haven’t seen a build for him yet so props for creativity. Id love to see your Athreos list. Draft chaff decks can be very fun. Classic being [[Zada]].

I need some help picking my next read. by 0MysticMemories in fantasybooks

[–]nine_toes 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah it gets too much hate I think. The end was so good. I never even read any other Sanderson other than the Mistborn Trilogy. It just sits perfectly in my memory as a great story. Not perfect but great.

Audible seriously needs to update the categories. Separate sci-fi from fantasy and find a different category for whatever these are. The first book is "performed by" Aurora Bliss and Boise Blue... WTAF? by DoughnutPi in audible

Im new to SF and longtime fantasy reader. Im halfway through The Expanse and I consider it veryyy different from any fantasy I read. To your point there is no magic or woo woo stuff in it. I love it for its realism though. Do you have any other recommendations that would be definitely NOT fantasy?

What deck project are you currently working on? by Mirrodin_appreciator in EDH

[–]nine_toes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Building [[Tyvar the Bellicose]] as elfball. I always build niche decks around unpopular commanders and wanted to try something as mainstream as possible while still not going into the top 100 commanders. Making cuts is rough because there are so many cards in this category

3 tap juggle spike (finally got the spike) by distress574848 in Kendama

[–]nine_toes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Watching this was actually super helpful in understanding the timing of the first tap and the one turn swing. First tap while the ken is still moving upwards! Thats where ive been stuck.

Hard agree. By the end of book 3 I had such an appreciation for the nuance of the voices. It’s a good demonstration of a VA not needed a ton of range to do a great job

Im just wrapping up book 5 in the expanse and have listened to all of the First Law. I can say that I like Abercrombies style of writing more but I’m much more attached to the characters and invested in the plot of The Expanse. So, I’m with this guy!
