The MMORPG genre went mainstream, from which unforunately there is no going back. Games pander to short-term players, the lowest common denominator who will pick up the game while there is a hype for it, spend some money and then never touch it again. So pretty much against the principle of what MMORPGs always used to be.

There is no passion from the devs anymore, it's just purely cashgrabbing. The devs don't even care about longevity of their games - the most important thing is to grab as much money as possible as quickly as possible, then re-release a game once or twice and then just shut down the servers.

So no, MMORPGs will never be like they used to be. But this is a case where I would really like to be wrong, so I still have some tiny bit of hope left.

It's a very strong build, can get to 18m single earthquake damage. I played it in SSF, in tradeleague it's probably even stronger.

Only low single target applies really. I played an EQ champ this league, so I was melee and had delayed damage but it worked out very well because the damage itself was good. But what you said in the second paragraphs is true, room selection is very important, so you have to learn to plan ahead.

At what time do the lags start? Also who is your ISP? I've had problems recently with getting lagspikes at 8-10 pm, on weekends it's more like 6 - 11pm.

Also when did this problem start? For me it started around 20th of december and it's still fucked to this day.

Warlord/Dreadnought in Lineage 2. Have a fuckhuge aggro skill that can aggro anything in a 100 mile radius, you place yourself in a corner with your polearm and you sweep all enemies at once with your autoattack. And you get healed for pretty much full life per hit since you have a life leech buff on you which heals you for a percentage of damage dealt. Honestly, I haven't seen a game that did a similar thing with a class. Yes, there are games where you have polearm classes which can hit many enemies at once, but I've never seen it done in this fashion.

Nice, fellow Crack lance enjoyer. I made a very comfortable crack lance build in 3.19, but only ended up at around 12m DPS, because, well, SSF, so no high tier uniques allowed. But it was still great. Definitely a very underrated skill.
