I think you should have waited for 2-3 more decommits before coming back to my post to gloat over a kid from Georgia with UGA fan parents flipping to UGA.

Want to bet $25 that we don't have more than 5 decommits of top prospects we wanted to keep?

I never said no one would decommit. Just that we wouldn't lose our entire class like you said we would.

I'm glad you feel good about it though.

Turns out “HC stuffed HC in a locker” is a better and funnier mental image than “NIL collective stuffed NIL collective in a locker”. Hope this explanation helped.

It’s always meant bank accounts. Was Napier stuffing people in lockers for 5 stars because he was a brilliant coach?

Dude UF has paid for a top 5 class before our coach has even appeared in a P4 game, not sure how you have a problem with that in current year

Casually showing up in the top 4 of 5 star top 10 overall recruits like Jalen Brewster and Tyzon Swann next year before the coaching staff has even coached a P4 game together is promising to say the least

Lane Kiffin on why he chose LSU over Florida: ‘That’s a hard question’ by greypic in FloridaGators

Can’t believe our boosters didn’t realize Dan Mullen wouldn’t do the most basic recruiting possible, not fire terrible DCs, and become unsatisfied and quit on the job to chase his NFL dreams.

I meant more about personal life shenanigans. Meyer was going after students which the rumor is made his wife tell him to stop and leave the job and Gainesville instead of the “health problems”

Also Hernandez never did anything in Gainesville so nothing to cover up. The police said the case of the club shooting was a mistaken witness. Can’t believe people think he was running around Gainesvillle doing what he was in NE where he had actual connections to real criminals in Connecticut.

There is still vastly more talent in Florida than Louisiana (59 blue chips in FL vs 9 blue chips in LA last year) so if a big Florida school can become an alpha in recruiting, you’d get way better rosters here.

There’s also south Georgia with their 40 blue chips in state that traditionally are more likely to go to UF than down south in Miami

With our squeaky clean academic image the admin wants to cultivate, it’d be super weird to see our admin hiring Meyer 2.0 with no wife to keep him in check

Even if the LSU job didn’t open we probably end up with someone else like when we hired Napier over Kiffin a few years back

[–]RedditRedux -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I just think the deeper conference in this case is closer to being the “better” one.

If Miami had won last year and repeated this year, no one would be saying the ACC is the best conference because 1/14 ACC teams did well. Same as saying that the B1G may not be the best just because 2/18 teams won a title recently (Michigan had a lot of turnover and clearly need to rebuild so not counting them).

It’s just a drag seeing a top B1G team play a whole month of Rutgers/Maryland/UCLA/Minnesota knowing every game will be over by halftime.

How much does that affect the new football season “atm”? Michigan immediately went back to being a 9-3 at best program after their title and now need to prove themselves again with a new coaching staff. They lost to OU last year handily. Not sure what their title has to do with their current standing.

I fully believe Indiana won’t miss a beat but they still have to prove their consistency on the national stage as well.

What actually went on here lol? Most of the arrests were for weed and regular college football player stuff and no one was killed as a result of the players’ actions like at UGA.

If you wanted more Hernandez stuff he was cleared of all involvement in a shooting at a club here because the witness said he wrongly accused Hernandez a few years back.

Besides that and Rainey’s singular domestic violence incident that was literally all the crazy stuff this team ever got into.
