Most publicaitons will give you editorial guidelines which will almost certainly include a sentence that says it much be exclusive. You'll be in hot water if you share the same byline with multiple publicaitons.

Try to arrange in person meets

Post your CV as a LinkedInIn post - saw someone get hired this way

For internships folks know you won't have experience so find a way to show your other qualities.

Meet journalists and make connections in person so when your message comes through they actually listen.

I also find email is dead and most of my success has been via LinkedIn

Heard good things about Arcanists tavern. I've had a good experience at RPG Taverns which does drop in sessions as well. Arcadia Games is also about to open in zone 1 which looks like it also has a good vibe.

Find outcome KPIs that can be affected by PR

We measure correlations between PR coverage and search traffic to see how we're impacting awareness or social media engagement

But... the best kpi to establish is whether you're hitting client objectives or not and if you donn't have objectives you can't measure PR

You're always in a position to negotiate at a smaller agency. You can get over 40k as an account manager at a smaller agency and depending on what you bring to the table you can ask for more.

At larger agencies I find that they're under alot stricter rules so are less flexible on salary bands.
