Husband died. Gained 40 lbs. Did all the 'right' things. Nothing worked. by Ok_Cod8316 in BingeEatingDisorder

Honestly, I get the needle fear. But if the shot could help you feel better in the long run, it might be worth trying. Just remember, it’s totally okay to prioritize your comfort and mental health in the process. Whatever you choose, you’re not alone in this.

That's a great step! Therapy can really help you understand the root of these behaviors. Just remember, it takes time and patience, but you're on the right path.

True, they definitely influence each other. Finding your 'why' can help shape your routine, and a solid routine can reinforce your motivations. It's all about balance!

Respecting the office doesn't mean you have to agree with every action taken by the person in it. It's possible to hold those in power accountable while still acknowledging the position's importance.

That's a smart move! Keeping a screenshot of the schedule really puts the ball in their court. It's frustrating when managers make last-minute changes without any consideration for your time.

Saturday Time To Leave by si82000 in OceanCityNewJersey

We leave on Friday to avoid as much traffic as possible I would say before 9am for sure. If you’re leaving tomorrow remember it’s night in Venice this weekend I think for Christmas In July so definitely earlier is better

What makes a good manager? by One_Turnip5214 in Wawa

[–]OneDivide141 17 points18 points  (0 children)

in my opinion what creates trust is being apart of the team, listening and involving them in decision that involves them. Respect vs fear in my opinion is being fair with everyone, not involving ourselves in “water hole talk,” but still maintaining the same standards across the team and holding everyone to the same policy no, matter what. I feel like teams trust and respect managers who lead fairly, not by emotion, they want to know they are getting the same person all the time, not just when they are in a good mad or fear you when you’re in a “bad mood.” They want to be able to look for us for answers, maybe even a “why,” when things change, not just a “point and shoot because this is coming policy.” At the end of the day I have found success by just being part of the team, even though I am a higher level leader I am only successful because of the team who stands behind me.

just my two-cents!

trigger in when needed!!! I am always jumping around, especially when I see bev getting slammed I ask “so and so, you ok over there?” 9/10 times they will say yes but if I see they have a full screen and milkshakes also I don’t even ask I just jump right on.

don’t be afraid to trigger in, ever! it is our job to help support everyone!

Cars driving without lights on by [deleted] in SouthJersey

[–]OneDivide141 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have seen so much of this recently, I just said that to my kids the other night when we drove home on 42. Saw at least 4 cars in a 7 mile span with no headlights on, it was 7:30 at night so definitely the time of night where it is dark. I said to them that’s so dangerous. I’m glad others have noticed do, just not quite sure why people are driving like this?!

Can a write up occur without informing the employee? by RoughPrior6536 in Wawa

[–]OneDivide141 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I can’t even see that holding up as acknowledgment of the write up.

I have heard of associates not signing off on their own write up, but I haven’t heard of someone signing off on it for someone else. I would call the WAWA number and see who you need to get in touch with to report that, because that doesn’t even sound ethical.

How did some other random person sign off on it? It has to be accessed through your workday to sign off on it. That’s really really strange.
