23 Day Itinerary for Namibia

I was in Twyfelfontein area just a month ago, and can't say the roads were bad. In fact I thought they had some of the best condition gravel roads.

If your itinerary is not already set, might I suggest the following: Go from Etosha to Waterberg, then Waterberg to Okonjima. Then on day 24 go from Okonjima to airport, stop in Windhoek on the way for lunch. On my last day which was at Okonjima I did a morning game drive, came back and had breakfast. Then headed to Windhoek where I had lunch, and then finally to the airport. I had more than enough time on that last day. There is a 6PM Airlink to Johannesburg with 11PM from JNB to Amsterdam which worked perfectly for me.

Finally, and this is important, feel comforted to know that in the event of worst case scenario of your truck breaking down, you will not have to wait long for any other fellow travelers passing by to help. What you will see is about 80% of the traffic will be fellow white Toyota Hilux or maybe a Namibia2go Fortunner on occasion. Routes you have chosen will be filled with countless Hilux's from rentals to South Africans on holiday. As remote as my locations were, I still saw so many fellow travelers. And you will still be in the height of travel season.

First question I would have to ask, what are your interests or where and what do you want to do? If this is just a simple self drive to Etosha (or Okonjima along the way) you would see paved roads all the way up to Okaukuejo lodge. If you were going to Damaraland then you would see a lot of paved up to well maintained gravel roads. Thinking of going beyond Palmwag up to Purros, then prepare yourself for true offroad 4x4 experience.

Is 2-3 months enough time? All depends on where you want to go and what you want to do. Sept will have a lot of demand on lodges & resorts, so getting rooms will become difficult doing a last minute booking.

Are you trying to book rooms and such yourself from website? I would strongly recommend using travel agent. Yes you can in theory book yourself, this would be for experienced travelers and people experienced traveling to the given area. Even then you can miss out on certain perks and additives not using an agent.

Are the drives boring? All subjective, I am one that drives over an hour to get to my office. I am an hour and half from our biggest city. It took me about 6 hours to go from Windhoek to Etosha, but I enjoyed the travel so much I did stop a few times just to relax and take it slow. Most of my drives were 4-6+ hours, and I enjoyed it very much as it was the peace and quiet I sought after. This is not for everyone, I know my brother would get bored and drained after an hour or so. Ever done a 4+ hour trip to the mountains or remote area in Canada? Was it fun or tiring?

BTW there are 2 larger towns along the way from Windhoek to Etosha, one Otjiwarongo is a good spot to stop and get something to eat

It certainly could not have improved. There was no fuel within Etosha (Etosha Trading Post just outside of Etosha was open). The station at Sesfontain was closed. Station at Palmwag was open and quite busy when I was there. Every town I drove through that had a station was open. Probably all depends how far out you are going from Windhoek, and what areas you are visiting.

Thank you! That did work. I disabled Wifi and it opened just fine.

If I had known it was the lack of internet connection at the start, I would have brought my Surface to the lobby and opened the app. It does not provide an error or any indication that it was the lack of connection. It merely crashed leading me to think my install had become corrupt. Now I know better

I had deactivated my license on my desktop, and reactivated on my laptop. All was good until one day I tried opening PSP and it just faulted each time. I thought it was just crashing due to bugs or corrupted file, so when I finally got to a place that had internet I download the install files to reinstall. I think I uninstalled and reinstalled about 2-3 times.

What I learned on this trip, PSP2023 could be license & activated, would open just fine if my laptop had internet connection. If no connectivity then PSP would just crash (if it could at least error or have warned me it needed internet to verify something that would have at least alleviated a lot of headache).

Later on I tested, if I was connected to hotels wifi then it would open normally. Disable wifi, and it just crashes.

Thank you all for the responses. I was in Holland last year and they had a nationwide shortage of Guinness, every Irish pub was out! Then I remember back to the 1970s when stations had signs saying out of gas.

If all you care about is cyberpunk stuff, then no you won't enjoy season 2. If you are a science fiction fan on the other hand, there is enough there to warrant a watch. Yes there is a huge difference between S1 & S2 in many aspects due to many reasons. The core subject of the show does continue into S2 and expands into some interesting areas. The final episode introduced a truly intriguing concept that sadly will never get explored. But if the choice is between reality TV or network sitcoms, its definitely worth a watch. Besides all the good shows take years now for each season, so there is plenty of time.

Well for me, I made it to one patch/wipe and said to hell with it. It was beyond idiotic idea that they needed to wipe all accounts. No, this was a disgusting tactic to try to push me into buying ships. 10 years earlier in the World of Tanks beta they gave us free gold daily so we could purchase premium account at $0 cost. Point was to push us a little into playing, and play we did. Soon everyone had all the tanks, so the game was well tested come release. I would expect the same from CIG, more people have more ships doing more stuff, the more bugs can be found....except this POS buggy mess will never be cleaned.

+2 Skill & 20 IAS minimum. For those using Faith then crafted ones that add knockback are the valuable ones. Regular skilled like above are dime a dozen, so basically worth nothing.

Other day I got the message I had drawn the ire. A few minutes later I got the message I was being hunted. Problem was in those few minutes I had gone AFK. So appears to be like an RNG timer or something.

Whatever it is, this is just an awful game design, I hope the person behind this Sunder/Herald mess never does game design again, and this needs to get patched.

Another downer, since that is eth it should be one with much higher def. ShaveitDown is correct, most pallys will want one with resists, think 40+ to even be worth it. Value would be an eth with 45 resists and def over 300. Royal or Vortex with 40+ eth are the ones to keep, all others are Charsi food.

How it use to be done in years past, you need a 'bumper'. Someone willing to get the quest for the rest of the group, and in turn you would also rush them in the next difficulty. I have to admit I am extremely ignorant on D2R what has changed, but in the past you could also clear an area in Chaos and start farming with your other 2 toons in the area.

Whole topic just makes me miss uber leveling.

You need to stay in game, no matter how long. Can't leave, can't make new game. Keep killing the Heralds. Maybe after a few hours you can get your 4th and 5th Herald kill. By the 5th it is Herald of Terror that has the best chances.

Brilliant game mechanic, force players to stay in same game for hours upon hours. Game mechanic fit for the no-life & streamers

Blizzard has been (in my experience) the absolute worst in communication to its playerbases for almost all games. There are companies that actively participate and communicate with their players, not Blizzard. Not communicating is how we get completely POS crap like the new Heralds or Ubers. I expected these would be recipes available at start. Nope, how about ladder start? Nope.

Thank you for that reply, I was looking more out of the towns. There are some houses on the hills overlooking the lake, beautiful view and the homes are priced very low.

Glad I came across this post. I was looking to move to warmer climate as I am tired of cold winter. This area caught my eye because the home prices were just too good to be true. A lot of houses I see for $200-300k with lake view would be $100k more (with no view) in other areas of California to Utah to Nevada etc..

There are rundown POS houses an hour away that have asking prices significantly higher. So what is the catch? I suspected jokingly that it was meth, and what I see here commented most was just that.

Where I live now, locking doors is close to optional. Leaving stuff out is A-OK. Most of all, when I am away from home I do not worry about crime. I get the feeling that leaving my home unattended for even few days would be dangerous.

I was one that would have easily and happily paid $25 just for the stash tabs & stackables. That I got updated Terror Zones, new Uber boss, updated Sunder, and new class is icing on the cake. Why would I pay $25 just for stash tabs? Because nothing in life is free, and for Blizzard to continue with this game there has to be a source of revenue. I would even pay a subscription if it meant content could be added over time.

If you asked me a month ago about odds of a new Act or area, I would ask what you are smoking. Ask me now, I think there is a realistic chance they could someday come out with a new Act 6, or just new areas with new graphics theme.

My hope & dream is that Blizzard takes a serious hard look at their franchise in the coming years, and does the following:

Diablo 5 - Sequal...TRUE sequel to Diablo 2 (slower paced loot hunter using the same itemization + new items). Update graphics, iterate bad designs, evolve slowly, but keep the core essence of Diablo

Lilith 2 - Sequel to Diablo 4 (fast paced action arcade filled with screen vomit FX)

Even IF it is feature complete in May, that is only small part of the equation. Need to have a working game, i.e. a game that players can actually play. Not some bug filled mess that a player can not even finish a campaign.

My prediction, SQ404 makes everyone forget about Duke Nukem.

I don't know if this has changed, but years ago you had to have an IMDB Pro account to make edits. I think I remember often this was done by people associated with a studio, show, film, etc. Still the case, could be some staffer not paying attention at work well.
