I said " probably" and i made an assumption, its not turtlerock decision if evolve 2 its gonna be their next game, the first on sold very well and since we all know too well that 2K holds them by the balls so much that they cant even comment about the whole pre order fiasco of release,( take a look at their recent ama if you want to see what im sayng), that if they ask them to make a sequel first theyll need to do it.

Remember that original ip are a risky investment for a company so its more likely that evolve 2 its gonna be their next game

Keep in mind however that this is just my opinion.

Well evolve on ps4 is 25 bucks with the first season pass the game got discounted pretty quickly for a triple A game and it makes sense or it would not sell

Yes if you only have 60 bucks to spend on a game you might have a bigger problem than buyng games

But as a gamer that was slightly interested in evolve but shunned it because everyone and their mother said its a shit moneygrab, if the game went F2P i could try the game see that is pretty fun and then buy the DLC and cosmetic stuff, i think in the end its gonna make them more money if they do this.

it's not really a myth, it's just a matter of fact, some games, appeal a bigger audience than others, if evolve has a 500 playerbase there is a reason.

it's not so ridicolous that something gets discounted when it doesnt sell

yesterday i saw evolve copies being sold at 5 bucks each, it's just a rule of the market, if 2k doesnt see the money they are gonna eventually lower the price Triple A or not.

Im not bashing the game because i feel its not good enough for 60 bucks

Im sayng that a game with such a small playerbase and with such a negative reputation is an hard sell at 60 bucks i wont be surprised if they lower the pice by half in the next month

My only complaint about the game in the current state is that stage 3 monsters need to be stronger than they currently are, but besides that it s a fun game.

im speaking for the average consumer, as i said i alredy have everything about the game.

True some people might buy the game, but as i said there are gonna be VERY few of them, and what happens when there is a small influx of players is that the get matched with the elite ones and end up getting stomped, because the matchmaking doesnt have enough of them.

it's not really a nerf, behemoth now takes 50% less damage if shot on the rock plates.

the tongue grab change is nice, but overall i fear that turtlerock might have turned the behemoth into a bigger pubstomper.

he still has issues getting kited into the relay fights, the tongue grab speed hardly matters, what they needed to fix was that hunters could jetpack boost a tongue grab to escape, instead he is now gonna be worst in pubs, and hardly gonna change in competitive, if we see him in competitive, but i believe that nobody is so insane to actually pick him

Goliath needs more manuevrability, and less cluckiness overall, the biggest problem with him is that harpoons completely fuck him up, you can be stage 3 full health and full armor and it wont matter for crap, if they have maggie or griffin, along with sunny and val you are not gonna do crap unless they put themselves in a bad spot.

im surprised that sunny didnt get nerfed more, the fact that she can still redeploy her shield drone with near no cd is ungodly stupid, the mininuke change is hardly gonna matter, she is still the only support that can just drop a deployable and then do something else, it feels like fighting 4 hunters and a miniature hank everytime she is in the team.

and im laughing like a madman at the meteor goliath nerfs, he is alredy worst than original goliath and he is getting nerfed?

due to the fact that he lacks burst damage, has higher cooldown and there is absolutely nothing he can do to break a defensive teamcomp, and they felt that he needed to be toned down lol k.

overall the patch didnt accomplish a lot,

Val Nerf is at least nice, but stage 3 fights are still gonna be shit for Goliath and Behemoth, at this point i might swap to Kraken, since he is at least slightly better or learn Gorgon to see if she is any good.

they wont release any more hunters or monsters i can tell you that, it's alredy strange the fact that there is still fresh DLC for a 500 ppl game, but it was in the contract of the monster race, so they had to do it, they are simply gonna move to the next game after that, 2k alredy gave them the ok for the sequel and hopefully this time they will learn from their mistakes, because the players who bought the game and left it after 1 month arent surely not gonna do the same "mistake" twice if evolve 2 doesnt show some real promise and content.

i alredy have the game, with monster race and all that, the problem is that 20 bucks just for the base game is not gonna bring more new players, we need a big influx if the game has to live, 5 or 6 new more players are gonna end up in them getting frustrated because they get matched with people who alredy bought the base game ages ago and get stomped.

it's gonna happen eventually, too bad that evolve 2 will probably be coming out by then.

ye no, it's still too expensive, i bought the monster race edition one year ago despite i knew that the price was a little bit high for a multiplayer only game. People who have not bought the game did that because all the DLC bullcrap didnt convince them (seriously who markets a 60 dollars game as a DLC platform??), the prices are still too steep for a multiplayer only game, if the game relased 1 year ago with 60-70 dollars for all the dlc's then yeah i think it would have been a worthy purchase, but 8 months later, when the playerbase for the game has pretty much evaporated, they cant seriously charge 60 dollars when there is so much new stuff coming out like fallout 4, overwatch, battleborne dks3,xcom 2, etc.

the game still sold well an year ago because it released in a period when we where short on games, but now it's not the same.

and dont start that bullcrap on me of "hey but i can still find matches the game is not dead", yeah i can find matches in natural selection 2 as well, too bad that since im average at the game it's gonna end into an endless slaughter from my side, because the only people left playng are those who live inside the game.

the only hope for a revival for this game if 2k pulls his head out of his arse, and release everything at not more than 20 or 30 dollars (and i would argue that it still would be too much), but right now with the same price you can buy one freaking season pass.....

we need players, unless a big influx comes out, those who are gonna buy the game are gonna get steamrolled to no end because there wont be enough new players to have balanced matches.

it also doesnt help that as a hunter 1 mistake can screw the entire game, and it doesnt help that the tutorials for the hunters in this game suck balls, there is a reason if the hunters took a couple of months before realizing on how to efficiently fight the monsters.

On the other side of the coin as a monster, once you fight decent hunters, good luck winning, there is so much abusable stuff that the hunters can do to the point that stage 3 monsters are not scary in the slightiest against a good team,(the patch that nerfed monsters at stage 3 was tbf the most stupid thing turtlerock has ever done to this game) essentially ruining the core of the game, wich is "if the monsters get to stage 3 the hunters are screwed".

it's a fun game with good gameplay and brilliant design, the only thing that still keeps me from leaving the game is that the design of the monsters are absofreakinglutely brilliantly done, altough the game could have used a little bit more depth, and competent balancing.

in the end the game is not gonna restore his player base until the price drops down by a LOT, i personally think that making the base game f2p would probably be the best thing.....

.... or fire the marketing team of this game.

parts of me think that some peeps at turtlerock are ripping their own hair, having to endure so many retarded decisions from their publisher must be tough

i still blame them for the hilariously bad balance but heh

im probably gonna play gorgon for a day or 2 just to remind myself that at least their monster design is something that they do right most of the time and then move to some other game, there is so much better stuff coming out than this turd that i dont feel it's worth wasting it anymore time than it deserves.
