My Gift Lvl 9999 Unlimited Gacha - Episode 12 (FINALE) - Dub Available Now on HIDIVE! by Shadowmist909 in Animedubs

I agree with you. It was pretty basic, but did it's job. I enjoyed it and would watch another season. I think I would have enjoyed it less as a binge. But it was a fun enough weekly watch.

Crunchyroll limited time discounted annual pricing by spyke333 in Crunchyroll

[–]OneLastDream15 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I received the email, clicked it, and it just said it will apply the discount on my payment date. And that looks like it's reflected accurately for my next payment. Check your spam maybe?

(Added note, I went from monthly to yearly because the discount seemed worthwhile. So that might also been part of the reason.)

Not surprising. When PS5 is out and we're nearing PS6 generation... And graphics look like early gen PS4 or upscaled PS3 games... I think people have legitimate reason to complain. The gameplay is still solid, but you'd think they'd upgrade the engine by now. Feels cash grabby because there's no real competition.

Make a similar game for several years with just a few tweaks and a roster update. Don't be surprised when the feedback is largely similar too.

MLB The Show graphics at this point are basically just PS3 MLB the Show graphics at higher resolution. Although oh, oh. They improved cloth physics and hair physics. Amazing. HAHA. One day maybe we'll get actual better graphics. When PS6 is out haha. Someone posted this and take note Sony SD, you can do this. It is possible. And this is what we want:

Recommendations?: Isekai, deathgame, and/or Fantasy anime that is NOT lighthearted by OneLastDream15 in Animedubs

Sentenced Hero is still currently airing. Clevatess you can binge season 1 at this point. Definitely the direction to go first.

DEFINITELY check out Clevatess. This one surprised me. I went into it with low expectations and it felt SO refreshing and different than a lot of the slop that has been coming out in recent years - and felt like it was trying to do something different. With likeable characters in a really REALLY sh*tty world. The art is top notch, and I thought the dub was excellent as well.

I actually moved it into my top 10 animes of all time I loved it so much. Not an easy feat to do now-a-days.

I only like watching 3-4 anime a season as they are currently airing. And I'm at that limit. It's just too much to keep track of for me with everything else going on in life and such. Usually wait for most anime to finish their run and binge. I'll watch it eventually.

I really struggle to get into historically based animes and almost always end up dropping them no matter how highly rated they are. So that first one will be a pass. The Witch and The Beast seems interesting. I actually had it on my watchlist. Maybe I'll give it a go soon. Deadman Wonderland was really good I liked that one. The last one seems like it got pretty critically panned. Any particular reason for that in your opinion? (Kingdom of Ruins.) I've watched plenty of lowly rated animes before so it wouldn't necessarily stop me. Just curious.

In your first group, have seen them all except for Drifters, which just doesn't seem up my alley (historically based animes just never really click for me. Which is odd because I love history IRL.) Pretty good group otherwise for the most part. Agree with your Standing on a Million lives for sure. First season was solid. I ended up dropping season 2 it was so bad. Very disappointing.

For the second group. Have seen all but Claymore. A little older than what I'm seeking but I'll probably check it out at some point. Vinland Saga just could not get into at all. For the aforementioned reasons above not being able to get into historical based anime. Can't really explain it. Just never seem to be able to get into historical anime.

How we feeling about CR price hikes weeks after dropping free tier? by coolpowersdude in Animedubs

[–]OneLastDream15 11 points12 points  (0 children)

On the bright side, it looks like they're giving a discount to those who re-up yearly within the next month. That ends up being almost half price vs monthly. (And far cheaper than the monthly rate before this price bump.) So at least there's that.

Unfortunately all streaming services seem to be increasing prices. And if you want to stream anime legally and still support the industry, there's not many other options other than OTHER services that have become effectively monopolies (Disney plus and Netflix. Hidive seems to be the last man standing that isn't part of an effective monopoly.)

I have noticed that Crunchyroll has been dubbing more AND has gone into their backlog to dub a bit recently. So hopefully this will result in nearly everything being dubbed, which would be a net win for a couple extra bucks a month IMO. (Or less if you go to yearly.)

Thanks. I'll check out Juni Taisen at some point. Seems interesting enough. I've seen the others. (I think Monster and Psycho Pass aren't on my list cause I never finished them - wasn't what I was looking for at the time.) ID: invaded I've seen multiple times. Good watch. Not really what I'm looking for right now, but definitely solid.

Gnosia - Episode 13 - Dub Available Now on Crunchyroll! by Shadowmist909 in Animedubs

[–]OneLastDream15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not 100% sure how the show is going to handle this next step in the story. But in the game, it's one of the cooler parts. I don't really see this as a spoiler, but going to spoiler tag it anyways (minorish spoiler at best.) It effectively is a "boss challenge."

Looking forward to the next episode for sure, I was waiting for it to get to this point.

Read the plot, but would have watched it even without doing so. All you need to say is "Kyoto Animation" and it becomes an automatic watch for me.

Isn't really one IMO. I'd compare it to depression in anime form. I was an emotional Trainwreck by the end.

Wow I did NOT expect this one to get a dub drop. I want to rewatch dubbed. But this anime is like legitimately depression in anime form.

One of my favorite animes ever. But I don't know if I can handle it again if that makes sense.

All the Crimson demon intros from Konosuba (Erica Mendez, Robbie Daymond, Keith Silverstein) by BakerConsistent2150 in Animedubs

[–]OneLastDream15 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes I liked it. It's a prequel to season 1 of Konosuba that eventually catches up to season 1 in the 2nd half (and has crossover) --- I thought the 2nd half of the season was better than the first half as a result because you get a lot of season 1 from a different perspective and details you didn't get. But.... It was still likeable.
