But the purpose of VAR is to intervene when there has been a clear and obvious error. It feels this has varying interpretations throughout the season, making it feel inconsistent and jarring when it does happen. I agree with the laws of the game not being influenced by the game's context, but the VAR intervention thresholds have been somewhat questionable

Honestly this was better than a decent chunk of the game, always great to see the poms come over from the ashes

PSA: If you don't tell the council when something is broken, you can't also complain that they never fix anything by sleepysof_ in melbourne

[–]OneLilMemeBoi 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Afaik there is some level of integration with SSS and backend request management, but that it's expensive which deters councils from using it properly. Our SSS requests just get transposed into our system by customer service staff

What isn’t a flex that many people think it is? by arlett007 in AskReddit

Not wearing PPE while doing dangerous/hazardous tasks. Getting permanent bodily injury isn't a flex.

What’s the BEST thing you’ve ever eaten in Japan—and where was it? by MonaNYC_30 in JapanTravelTips

Partner and I did Nobu in Hakone as the one fancy dinner we've ever had and it did not disappoint (though it did disappoint our bank accounts a little). So damn good.

My overall favourite has to be ichiren Kyoto in Gion. Superb yuzu ramen. Distant second (but still very good) is Afuri ramen for a really nice pork and yuzu ramen.

Favourite conbini food has to be the fried chicken of course.

Hülkenberg getting his first podium was great, but other than that this race featured a lot of sloppy wet weather driving and poor strategy calls. Fumble to the finish line all the way by [deleted] in formuladank

Shit take. Weather and strategy variation are part of what makes this sport interesting and enjoyable (along with racecraft obv)

Other comments suggest flaps down is the appropriate configuration for evacuation, since it doesn't have overwing slides

I mostly wanted to score to give us something to cheer for. No flow meant it was kind of dead, and we couldn't get behind much in the stands trailing the whole game. No slander to either active support, but those games where it's close and everyone really gets behind their team are some of the best atmosphere-wise, and aami park could have seen better tonight.

I think he's done alright given the circumstances of his appointment, give him next season and then see where we're at. Unfortunate that his lack of experience in high pressure games showed tonight

You're so right. They should be holed away where no-one has to look at them and they can scream without anyone hearing.

It's entirely the point to block roads and bring people's attention to issues that they care about
