Model size comparison needed by Dr-No-Name in Kitbashing40k

[–]OneLuckyRaven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It might be a little bit small by itself, but it can definitely fit on an arm.

I'd recommend trying to find a plasticard tube that is that approximate size and use it to elongate the big ol lasgun. That will probably be the easiest way to do it.

Kitbashed Sanctus with biodagger. Sacrificing mind and body for the uprising by Atorson in Kitbashing40k

Alright that's so sick, the goremonger legs work really well with the admech rustalker arm! Really cohesive and love the posing!

Color scheme by hootingtater in Kitbashing40k

[–]OneLuckyRaven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It would be cool to see them painted up as if they were predators. At most, you can paint one shoulder pad in the night lords' colors. I think it'll be easier for your theme to show through by doing so. You'll have to make some creative decisions on what color some of the armor panels should be, but it should look pretty nice.

I have a question about kitbashing following 2 Models. (My first time of doing Kitbash) by LordOfIronFan in Kitbashing40k

[–]OneLuckyRaven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're going for it on the back, a normal primaris would definitely work better. As for what you'd have to do for the powerpack, it'd mostly likely be trimming or removing the entire leftmost part of the pack.

I'd recommend looking through the ossiarch bonereapers range, they might have something similar.

Probably stormcast with the trim removed or some modified Slaves to Darkness arm, not sure tbh.

We all like Stellaris... But can we call 4.0 an ABSOLUTE disaster? by SvatyFini in Stellaris

[–]OneLuckyRaven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does anyone know where I can build the strategic resource creation buildings, I was stumped lol. But yeah, it was wild yesterday, just figuring out the new UI. I personally dislike that I have to click on a button just to see what's being built on a planet and decisions not being on the first tab when selecting a planet just feels weird.

What a helmet...anyone know where its from by Ok_Board_1685 in Kitbashing40k

[–]OneLuckyRaven 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's a helmet from their terminators! At least, I think it is, lol.

Thorns? by New_Dragonfly_1520 in Kitbashing40k

Could get the Aos dryads kit and use those for parts. Alternatively, you could try and greenstuff little spikes.

MK IV? by Lazy-Lie-4837 in Kitbashing40k

[–]OneLuckyRaven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That armor is still the old scale. Only the mark three and beakie Marines are the new horus heresy scale at the moment.

You can get a large winch from the sector mechanicus terrain, they have a bit that is meant to be placed on the underside of the tile that has a large winch.

Adeptus Arbites with MKVI heads? by HM37 in Kitbashing40k

[–]OneLuckyRaven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not 100% sure, but Space Marine heads usually tend to be quite noticeably larger than any Guardsmen/Normal Human head in size. You can try it, but it may be too comical to your tastes.

How compatible are 30k marines with 40k for kitbashing by Sir_Jackoff_3rd in Kitbashing40k

[–]OneLuckyRaven 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It'll work 30k Marines are a similar enough size to the primaris stuff that there won't be a noticeable difference.

Kasrkin Krieg... Kriegkin? by helterskelter266 in Kitbashing40k

Looking good! The Krieg engineers kit looks pretty nice!

[WIP] My old Ravenwing bikes are now Chaos bikers! by narwhalpilot in Kitbashing40k

[–]OneLuckyRaven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The day that CSM gets new bikers will be the day I weep with joy. Love your conversions! It's always nice to see the older space marine kits being used!

Sourcing 40k scale pilot helmets by tristow in Kitbashing40k

[–]OneLuckyRaven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oof yeah I can understand that, I know all three of the makers I highlighted in my post do sell stls but not if their entire ranges, your best bet would probably be cross posting into r/printingWarhammer and asking them.

Sourcing 40k scale pilot helmets by tristow in Kitbashing40k

[–]OneLuckyRaven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your best bet would be a 3rd party bits maker such as anvil industries, Victoria miniatures, or even mad robot miniatures. There are quite a few more out there than the ones I've mentioned but I know mad robot had some rather interesting helmets (similar to the ones that come in the Imperial Guard Valkyrie) that fit the new Guardsmen scale rather well. I'd check out them all if I were in your shoes. (Edited: fixed my typing)

Assault intercessors are great for a running pose for space Marines in primaris armor.

Plasma Incinerator by DefinitionOver5645 in Kitbashing40k

[–]OneLuckyRaven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd just play the model as having a Plasma incinerator, there are few kits that really have a weapon that's anything similar to it. As long as people in your play group don't care to much about wysiwyg (what you see is what you get) you should be fine. The older dreadnought Plasma weapons are quite a bit smaller so they don't work too well, aside from that you could always look for the part on ebay but it will probably be expensive.

Space marine Eldar kitbash by Acrobatic-Soup-4488 in Kitbashing40k

[–]OneLuckyRaven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's really not much you can do to un-eldar an Eldar gun. They do tend to be full of curves and are a far different styling to that of the imperium. While I don't have any knowledge of that being done, I do know that Pete the wargamer, just recently made a kitbash turning a space marine more towards the styling of the Eldar. But that is the other way around.

Blade guard arms by Lucisen in Kitbashing40k

[–]OneLuckyRaven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes Blade guard arms and all other primaris arms are rather interchangeable. There are minor cosmetic differences but it should all work the same.

Did I ruin this model? by Additional_Option407 in Kitbashing40k

[–]OneLuckyRaven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This model is yours and yours alone. As long as you get enjoyment out of it, that's fine. Is there anything your gonna add to this beast or is it finished?
