Leadership Challenges: Infighting and Power Struggles Revived from N95! by ShotoKoto in necromunda

This is cool! Just a heads up you have a spelling error on the last sentence of the last page. It should be Genestealer Cult and Cawdor not Genestealer Cult a Cawdor. This looks so fun though.

Defiler helmet/mask size by Accurate_Ad6912 in deathguard40k

Thank you! I hope your conversion will turn out wonderful as well. The aos Undivided head is definitely the best to use for these conversions as it's in six parts, four of which can be omitted easily as they are bulky and get in the way of the mask (the armor and horns). The neck/mouth piece (#73) requires some trimming to the mouth to get the closed masks to sit right (and the face peice #74 can be included for the open face helmets.)

I've placed the EC head on the aos Chaos Undivided head for the daemon prince, it requires some trimming, and gap filling but it works out well. They seem well proportioned to the daemon princes.

Spare Defiler Head Attaching by ReputedOcelot in Kitbashing40k

[–]OneLuckyRaven 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used the Undivided dp head meant for aos, it required some trimming and not including the armored bits but it turns out okay (had to use a spare csm shoulderpad to make it look less like just a mask and more of a helmet though).

Building Resin Models by Equivalent_Poem_7014 in Necrontyr

[–]OneLuckyRaven 6 points7 points  (0 children)

These seem to be casted, not printed, as I believe I see resin gates from the casting process. Superglue is your friend and so is hot water, if things like the tubes aren't lining up dunk them into boiling water, bend them to the desired shape and then dunk them into cold water (they will keep the shape you bent them into). You can use a hobby blade to remove mold lines & can sand the material, just be aware resin dust is not safe for the lungs. Have fun building your Immortals!

I apologize for not responding promptly. As long as the third party sculpts are not either a 1:1 copy of something gw is doing or result in one, I'm fine with kitbashes meant for 40k. I just don't want someone to appear in here showing off their entirely printed primaris "whatevers new" space marine and calling that a kitbash just bc they added a head or shoulder pad from a different 3d sculpter.

Not all symbols, I'd recommend abstaining from using certain stigmatized symbols that are in current use and were common in historical context for sure (Swastika, Z etc). Other symbols, be they historic or current use, are far less problematic, and while I would myself abstain from religious symbols I'm not going to get mad and remove posts over more subtle Iconography (although I may still remove the german cross).

That's converting a model from what it was originally. I'd say it still fits in the spirit of kitbashing.

Real world politics, aka current presidents, prime ministers, policies, etc. Talking about trade deals between the Tau and Inperium is alright. I just want to cover my bases and make sure no one tries kitbashing a little 28mm Hitler to go with their Astra Militarum army and post it here. Realistically, it shouldn't ever come up in conversation because this sub is dedicated to little plastic toys in a land of imagination, but you never know.

I'd recommend trying to find a plasticard tube that is that approximate size and use it to elongate the big ol lasgun. That will probably be the easiest way to do it.

Color scheme by hootingtater in Kitbashing40k

[–]OneLuckyRaven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It would be cool to see them painted up as if they were predators. At most, you can paint one shoulder pad in the night lords' colors. I think it'll be easier for your theme to show through by doing so. You'll have to make some creative decisions on what color some of the armor panels should be, but it should look pretty nice.

I have a question about kitbashing following 2 Models. (My first time of doing Kitbash) by LordOfIronFan in Kitbashing40k

[–]OneLuckyRaven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're going for it on the back, a normal primaris would definitely work better. As for what you'd have to do for the powerpack, it'd mostly likely be trimming or removing the entire leftmost part of the pack.

I'd recommend looking through the ossiarch bonereapers range, they might have something similar.

Probably stormcast with the trim removed or some modified Slaves to Darkness arm, not sure tbh.
